"Ireland's lead is now more than a converted try. They should be starting to believe."
The home support have momentarily been silenced and Jonny Sexton has an opportunity to make sure they remain quiet for a wee while longer. The outside-half again takes his time but the Irish fans rise to their feet, which means Sexton's effort is successful.

Former Ireland captain on BBC One
"Jonathan Sexton has stuttered with his boot today, but he is bang on with his hands and running."

"One thing you can say is that this is a full on Test match. The commitment is huge, the collisions are monstrous."
Luke Cheshire:, external Sexton has had a stormer this Six Nations.
Ross Peters:, external Don't think the French have got the legs.
Nick Mercer:, external Damned unreliable these Frenchies! Oops I am one till 7pm.

"We criticised Jonny Sexton, he missed two kicks, but he has scored two tries in Paris. It is pretty much a mirror image of what we saw in the first half. Excellent performance from France, mistakes by Ireland but then they have gone and got a crucial try."
Arsenal and Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey on Twitter:, external Good way to end the Six Nations for Wales! Now I hope Ireland win it and for it to be a special send off for a special player - Brian O'Driscoll.
Iron discipline from the Irish, soaking up the best France can throw at them, and then they ruthlessly counter-attack. Andrew Trimble sprinting down field before releasing Brian O'Driscoll. The centre dances inside but is brilliantly tackled by Maxime Medard. No matter, because Jonny Sexton is in support and he bursts over the line for his fourth try of this Six Nations, matching England full-back Mike Brown's tally. This time, the outside-half also converts.
The French scrum is unmoveable and that allows Mathieu Bastareaud to do what he does best, which is battering his way over the gainline. Vincent Debaty improvises by kicking a stray ball and Rob Kearney is again called to clear the danger.
Ireland under the cosh but brilliant defending from Paul O'Connell who steals the ball, earning is team a breather.
A kick ahead from Maxime Medard tests Rob Kearney but the full-back holds firm under pressure. The Leinster man needs some treatment after colliding with Mathieu Bastareaud, though.
One change to the French line-up as Vincent Debaty replaces Thomas Domingo. The prop did struggle in the scrums in the first half.
The Irish form a huddle before taking to their positions. Jonny Sexton gets the second half started and there's no knowing how this match will end. All we know is that it will end. It has to.

Former Ireland hooker on BBC One
"What an amazing contest, a perfect finale for this tournament. France have turned up. Their second try, it's a French try, but I was standing up because it was so good."
Jeremy Guscott
Former England centre on BBC One
"Ireland have not had the territory or possession, but there is a game plan and they are trying to suck in the French defence. It's great to see this patience from them."
"Is it me or is it loud in here?" asks John Inverdale as Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Sprit' has the concrete shaking. There's a sense that the decibels are only going to rise inside the Stade de France.
Brice Dulin got France's only try of the opening half but it has proved enough to give them the lead at the break. Just one point in it. England know this result will see them win the Six Nations, while a win of any kind secures the title for Ireland. The Irish could be ahead, but Jonny Sexton - their opening try scorer - has missed two of his three kicks.
Maria Fiorentino:, external Diabolical two penalty misses from Sexton, what was he thinking? Surely he must be subbed now.
Martin Woodruff:, external Sexton doing his best for England there. It's still on!

"Those missed penalties will be at the front of the minds of Jonny Sexton and the Irish team at half-time. If there is any more than a five-point margin by the end of this game I'll be surprised. It is just inconceivable you miss tight penalties in these games and go on to win, because you need luck elsewhere. No side can afford to leave points behind them and I am already fearful those five points will come back to haunt them."
That was the final kick of the half. Jonny Sexton has squandered five points with the boot. How costly will that be?
Thomas Domingo comes through a ruck illegally. France coach Philippe Saint-Andre gesticulates wildly on the sidelines. He doesn't agree with Steve Walsh's judgement. Jonny Sexton with the responsibility to give his team the lead at half-time. The outside-half takes his time - but he has left his zen in the dressing room as he drags his kick wide.
