Richard V Harris: This is phenomenal from Wales. Italy look done, heads gone.

Fiona Richards: Think George North had spinach at half time #Popeye. Wales on fire!!!!

Jon Salinger: Italy what are you doing?? Completely fallen apart and giving real advantage to Wales!

"Ten or 15 point-wins are a big ask for Ireland and England. They have to win those first and foremost.

"If Wales get another 10 points, they will be firmly in the driving seat."

George North at his steamrollering best. And Italy's defence is barely a speed bump in his way.

The giant wing swats aside Luciano Orquera, steps inside Luke McLean and plops over under the sticks.

Wales are now ahead of their title rivals on points difference. As it stands England would need to beat France by more than four points and Ireland would need to beat Scotland by more than eight points to win the title on points difference.

Points difference: Wal +41, Ire +33, Eng +37

    Chief sports writer at Twickenham

"Groans and grimaces among the well-oiled patrons glued to the giant screen in the West carpark at Twickenham as Wales pile on the points. Expectation, nerves and champagne all fizzing together in English veins. This could be a long afternoon ending with very short fingernails."

BBC Wales Sport's Richard Williams in Rome: "Now there are Welsh songs singing around the stadium. They think the dream scenario is on after Wales rattle up two tries in quick succession."

Nothing complex about this. Ball spun wide, George North one-on-one with Luke McLean and the Italy full-back does not fancy it at all.

A token grab is never going to stop big George and he romps over in the corner.

Together with Dan Biggar's excellent kick that takes Wales past Ireland in points difference. England are only a little up the road.

Points difference: Wal +34, Ire +33, Eng +37

"That yellow card is huge - the game will open up even more for Wales. They have gone up a level now. They think it is on."

    This could be big.

Andrea Masi, the Italy centre, sees yellow for a tackle on Jamie Roberts off the ball.

Why you would want to tackles Roberts when you don't have to is beyond me.

Anyway Wales have a man advantage for the next 10 minutes. They want to get going...

"This game, all of a sudden, has turned on its head. The Six Nations is getting interesting now. Watching this is making a few people in Edinburgh and London feel nervous. Wales are now putting pressure on Ireland and England. If this game opens up there is only one winner - Wales."

    Get the calculators out.

An aimless kick from Luciano Orquera is returned with interest by a cantering George North. And things are getting interesting.

Dan Biggar's solid slot means that Wales' points difference is just 10 less than England's and six off Ireland's as it stands.

    It is on.

"That is exactly what Liam Williams brings - he reads game so well. He alert, he's alive and that's a fantastic line.

"Wales knew it would be tight - it always is against Italy - but this is where it opens up. Italy will start tiring and both benches will have a huge impact on this game."

    Heads-up rugby.

Italian hands in the ruck give Wales a penalty and Rhys Webb has tapped and gone before the referee has finished his blast on the whistle.

Liam Williams has spotted what is occurring and comes steaming up on a lovely support line under the sticks - Wales have renewed hope they can set Ireland and England a Six Nations title target.

Grand larceny from Mauro Bergamasco who pinches the ball as Wales bring it back to earth and prepare for a short-range shove over the line.

A fine bit of cat-burglery, and Wales' frustrations are growing...

A little naughty from Leonardo Ghiraldini. The Italy hooker barges late into the exposed back of Alun Wyn Jones at the base of a ruck. Penalty Wales and Dan Biggar kicks into the corner.

Once Ghiraldini finishes his chest-puffing and peacocking...

First test for the Wales scrum in the second half.

A rock-solid platform for Rhys Webb. The scrum-half makes yards, ball spun wide, Scott Williams in space...

Line beckoning. But he can't offload back inside though as the cover floods across.

Dan Biggar gets us back up and running.

Might Warren Gatland be tempted to throw Rhys Priestland on in his place if his side need to chase points?
