And Tonga strike first, recycling the ball and finding a gaping hole for fly-half Kurt Morath to burst through and cross from close range.

The 30-year-old picks himself up, dusts himself off and amid a few whistles from the crowd can only strike the upright with his conversion.

Not great etiquette from a packed Leicester City Stadium as he ran up to take that kick, if we're being picky.

  2. Argentina 0-0 Tongapublished at 6 mins

This is good stuff from the men in red, as Fetu'u Vainikolo bounces off Nicolas Sanchez's attempted tackle wide left. They're up to the five-metre line here...

  3. Argentina 0-0 Tongapublished at 5 mins

But it amounts to nothing when Argentina tight-head Ramiro Herrera fails to snaffle a pass around neck-height, comically spilling and then pirouetting as he lost its flight.

Sonatane Takulua inserts at the scrum and Tonga are into enemy territory.

Tonga lock Tukulua Lokotui's high tackle on Nicolas Sanchez prompts the referee to award Argentina a penalty, and dish out an early warning that next time he will have to "upgrade the sanction". Sounds serious.

The Pumas head to touch, and are now up to the 22 with ball in hand.

  5. Argentina 0-0 Tongapublished at 2 mins

The Tongans, in red and white, start on the front foot, stealing an early line-out and whizzing the ball over to the opposite side of the field - but wing Fetu'u Vainikolo is shoved into touch.

The Leicester City Stadium is not quite a sell-out but it's not far off. Argentina's support are making a hell of a lot of noise and drowning out the Tongan fans who are here. The anthems were stirring stuff.

But Tonga do have a visual presence in the press area. Not often you see replica shirts behind the laptops.

The anthems are always a bit of an event, but it seems to be even more so here as the camera pans on numerous occasions to Diego Maradona, beating his chest and singing along passionately.

Now Tonga will perform their pre-match war dance, the Sipi Tau.

Argentina head coach Daniel Hourcade has made seven changes to his team for Sunday's Pool C match against Tonga.

Jeronimo De la Fuente and Matias Moroni start together as a centre partnership for the first time in a Test.

Forwards Guido Petti, Tomas Lavanini, Pablo Matera and Leonardo Senatore return for the match at Leicester after missing the 54-9 win over Georgia.

Tonga's team will be the oldest in Rugby World Cup history as they bid to stay in contention for the last eight.

The pressure may well be mounting on Stuart Lancaster, but at a press conference this morning Rugby Football Union chief Ian Ritchie promised there would be no"hasty reaction".

"Lessons will be learnt in a calm and thorough manner in the fullness of time," he said.

Lancaster, meanwhile, insisted it was "not the time" to decide on his future.

"All things are being considered but not [standing down] for now for me. It's not the time to make a decision like that."

So what can we tell you about Argentina and Tonga?

Well, this will be the first ever meeting between these two nations and is likely to decide who will join New Zealand in the quarter-finals.

The Pumas are hoping to make the last eight for the third time in their history, while Tonga have never before ventured beyond the pool stages.

Both teams have one victory to their name so far in Pool C, with Argentina's coming against Uruguay and Tonga's against Namibia.

The Tongan support is significantly smaller than Argentina's but those who are here are seem determined to have as much fun and make as much noise as possible - just like the Jones family.

Victory gives the Tongans a great chance of progressing to the quarter-final for the first time in their history. It might stop the Jones clan heading back to Tonga and New Zealand too. Could be an expensive win.
