Circus tricks from Duane Vermeulen with the number eight offloading to JP Pietersen from the back of his hand. Alun Wyn Jones, though, ejects the Springbok winger into touch.
That could have been dangerous for Warren Gatland's men - an iffy box kick from Wales scrum-half Gareth Davies giving the Springboks a sniff.
South Africa 12-10 Wales
George North again looking for work, bursting through the middle of the field but the winger is isolated, which gives South Africa the chance to stem the Welsh tide with a pressure-relieving touchfinder.

South Africa 12-10 Wales
Gareth Davies's17th-minute try means the Wales scrum-half has drawn level with South Africa's Bryan Habana and New Zealand's Julian Savea as the tournament's top try scorer.
South Africa gathering momentum... sniping around Wales' 22m line. But Willie Le Roux loses ball in possession, he could do with some velcro on his hands.
Gareth Anscombe kicks downfield... George North, ubiquitous in this opening, sprints... but JP Pietersen sweeps up and boots to touch.

Quote MessageThere was a lot of concern in the week about selection, on the wings in particular. They were hoping Alex Cuthbert would play himself back into form but he looks as though he needs a couple of months away from the game."

Alex Cuthbert sees JP Pietersen charging towards him and the out-of-form Wales wing fumbles the ball, presenting the Springboks with a put-in in Wales' half.
Wales' forward rumble on, a menacing maul making inroads... they're awarded a penalty but Dan Biggar opts for touch and the Welshmen fail to gather the long throw in the line-out - and South Africa march on. There's adventure and there's folly.

Oh, Wales. The men in red having problems at the restarts. Luke Charteris gifting Handre Pollard another aim at the posts and the Springbok outside-half continues his unblemished record.

Quote MessageI don't know what Dan Biggar's eating for breakfast - the guy is just sensational. What a brilliant response from Wales #bbcrugby

Quote MessageThat all came from Dan Biggar, the form No 10 of the tournament. It was a great kick, a great take and just the awareness to keep going."
South Africa 9-10 Wales
Magnificent by Dan Biggar. The outside-half kicks the ball to the moon and back, chases and brilliantly gathers. Scrum-half Gareth Davies, Wales' prime poacher, is on his shoulder and runs free under the posts. And it's a simple conversion for Biggar, one he could kick in his slippers.
South Africa 9-3 Wales
Handre Pollard is South Africa's sharp-shooting marksman. The Outside-half sticking the knife into Wales' indisciplined players.

Don't tell the bride....
South Africa 6-3 Wales
Undeterred, Wales march forward. They're showing adventure, working it wide, recycling, Luke Charteris offloads to a Springbok, which wasn't the plan, but Wayne Barnes calls up an earlier South African transgression at the breakdown and Dan Biggar halves the deficit.
