Chance wasted as James Gaskell bursts through, he passes inside to Frank Halai but it's spilled and Gloucester survive. 

 James Gaskell has been introduced for Wasps.  

David Halaifonua is sent off and Gloucester's problems continue to grow. They'll play the next 35 minutes with 14 men. Billy Twelvetrees argues his man's cause but it's to no avail.

In case you've been on another planet for the last week, you might not have noticed Bath's Sam Burgess' decision to return to rugby league and to Sydney with his former club the Rabbitohs.

Bath head coach Mike Ford told BBC Radio 5 live's Mark Pougatch Burgess' return to the 13-man code has left England short of a potentially international-class back-rower.

So all Wasps so far in this one and plenty for Gloucester to ponder during the interval.

James Haskell bursts through the Gloucester defence with Joe Launchbury also getting his hands on the ball shortly after. It's a knock on later on in the move and that brings the half to a close.

Wasps have been superb in defence, not giving Gloucester a sniff, as they win back the ball and look put more pressure on their opponents. Christian Wade wastes decent territory out wide though with a needless forward pass. 

Gloucester are penalised for not rolling away and it's that man Daly with a 46 metre penalty to give Wasps a 16-point advantage.   

Wasps attack the blind side but Nathan Hughes is bundled into touch and Gloucester have a line-out. Greig Laidlaw clears the danger under pressure on his own try line. 

Great chasing from Wasps as Charlie Sharples has a kick charged down inside his own 22 before it's knocked on. Wasps have a scrum in a very attacking position. 

It's another penalty from a scrum conceded by Gloucester. It looks harsh but it's another belter from Elliot Daly who this time splits the posts from inside his own half.

Gloucester respond well and have territory in the Wasps 22 but from a decent position they are penalised at the breakdown and Wasps have back possession.
