We're level at Kingsholm as Sione Kalamafoni goes over in the corner after a wonderful miss pass takes out three Sale defenders and finds the big man on the wing. The 14 men are level but Greig Laidlaw cannot add the extras.
Sale win the resulting line-out and after the forwards go through several phases Stringer spreads the ball to the three-quarters. There's a fumble from Danny Cipriani and Sale are penalised as they attempt to win back the ball on the floor. Gloucester clear their lines. Another wasted penalty.
Peter Stringer is bundled into the advertising hoardings unfairly by Jonny May and handbags start to fly. It's nothing serious but tempers are flaring. Sale have the penalty and they kick to the corner.

Sale break back into Gloucester's 22 after a fine burst from Mike Haley, he beats several tackles and steps inside before finding Nev Edwards on the left wing and he goes over in the corner. It's two for the debuntant.

Sale's Peter Stringer launches the ball down the blindside and Charlie Sharples makes a mess of it and eventually they concede a penalty for not releasing. It's kicked to the corner.
We've got a clash in the air between James Hook and Mike Haley. Hook launched a high kick into Sale's half and as both players attempt to collect the ball they collide. Referee rules there was no foul play though and it's a scrum to Sale.

Sale win the line-out, recycle the ball but Gloucester's defence is well set and Sale themselves concede a penalty with Nev Edwards failing to release. Story of their half.
