Huge win for the Chiefs, who cement themselves in second place with a victory against a Quins side just behind them.

The conditions stemmed the quality in the second half after a breathless first-40 but both sides tried to play in rapidly sodden conditions.

Quins got a try bonus point for their four scores, not to mention a losing bonus point, but Gareth Steenson's boot helped tick the board on just enough to snatch the win.

Harsh on Conor O'Shea's side, who have much to be positive about.

And Worcester do get a consolation try!

Bryce Heem draws in Maro Itoje and offloads wonderfully to Joe Rees.

The prop holds off Charlie Hodgson and Ben Ransom to score the Warriors' first ever try at Twickenham.

Something to cheer for the travelling Worcester fans after a clinical second half display from Saracens.

Tom Johnson follows Elvis Taione's lead, sent to the bin for coming in at the side of the maul.

The visitors look to kick for goal to edge ahead, but Tim Swiel's kick is delayed by the wind, and it unnerves him enough to see it pushed wide.

Quins still trail with two to go.

  7. Saracens 48-6 Worcesterpublished at 70 mins

Worcester are searching for a late consolation try but the ball is spilled just in front of the line.

They had a penalty advantage and opt to kick for the corner again, as Owen Farrell replaces Marcelo Bosch for Sarries.

Elvis Taione's return to the field brings Exeter back to full complement and marks a return to contested scrums.

His first act is to come in at the side of the ruck and concede a penalty.

Just over five to go and Quins are desperate for that score - going for touch.

  10. Saracens 48-6 Worcesterpublished at 66 mins

An intervention from the TMO for a suspected high tackle by Chris Ashton on Wynand Olivier and Worcester get a penalty.

A chance for them to gain some territory and possession while they are still down to 14 men.

Saracens stretch the play wide from a five-metre line-out and draw in the Worcester defence.

Charlie Hodgson finds full-back Ben Ransom, who steps back inside and wrong-foots two defenders to score.

Hodgson squeezes the conversion through the sticks.

Uncontested scrums called here by referee Matt Carley. Sopping wet out there.

Rain falling quite heavily here now which could make for a markedly different tactical battle in the second game later.

A landmark moment there for Charlie Hodgson. In the week he announced his intention to retire at the end of this season, he could've gone for the glory himself.

Ashton finished off the move for the fourth try but the conversion sees Hodgson go past 2,500 Premiership points in his career.

Elvis Taione goes to the sin bin for a low 'no-arms' tackle on Mark Lambert and Chiefs are down to 14.

Quins take full advantage - and get a try bonus point - when Mike Brown's kick to the corner was touched down by Tim Visser.

It looked as though it was rolling dead but ricocheted back off the corner post and into the Scotland winger's hands for a try.

One point in it after Tim Swiel misses the conversion.

They may already have the bonus point in the bag but there is no stopping Saracens.

Schalk Brits, who was instrumental in the fourth try, bundles over from a rolling maul.

The champions have been clinical this afternoon. It could get worse for Warriors on their Twickenham debut.

This could be the pick of the tries.

Schalk Brits gathers a kick 15 metres inside his own half and, with impressive feet for a hooker, sidesteps several defenders and carries over half-way.

Charlie Hodgson is there in support and he feeds Chris Ashton, who flits back inside for the simplest of finishes for his second try of the afternoon.

Brilliant rugby from Saracens. Hodgson adds the extras.

Saracens win a penalty at that five-metre set-piece, with Worcester penalised for wheeling the scrum.

Sarries clear the danger and have a respite from that Warriors pressure.

Worcester force a period of pressure and a succession of line-outs.

Tom Heathcote tries an ambitious cross-kick but Bryce Heem is unable to get on the end of it. They had an advantage so go to the corner again for a five-metre line-out.

But this time Saracens force a penalty and get the put-in at the scrum.

Meanwhile, Warriors prop Nick Schonert is off after receiving a nasty cut to the mouth and Joe Rees replaces him.
