There's one person who hasn't doubted George North during his try-scoring drought.

The Northampton flyer had not scored for Wales since September's World Cup warm-up win over Italy which is perhaps why his girlfriend Becky James was a little excited on Twitter when her man scored.

  2. "Jamie Roberts is virtually unstoppable"published at 18:45

    FT: Wales 27-23 Scotland

    Martyn Williams
Former Wales captain on BBC One

"Jamie Roberts is virtually unstoppable from two or three metres out. He was monumental last week in Dublin and again today. He is a huge force for Wales."

  3. Roberts try replaypublished at 18:44

    FT - Wales 27-23 Scotland

How to stop Jamie Roberts from 5m out? It might be impossible. Wales snubbed an offer to kick to the posts and were rewarded with a Jamie Roberts try. I could describe it, but you might as well watch the video...

  4. Captain's view - Laidlawpublished at 18:41

    Wales 27-23 Scotland

"We are getting closer. We are doing so many good things but a couple of soft moments cost us. We just gave them the game in the end. Credit to Wales, they were better on the day. We need to improve on the line-out."

  6. Captain's view - Warburtonpublished at 18:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2016

    Wales 27-23 Scotland

"Historically we tend to get gradually better as the tournament goes on. That's a bit better than last week, but you've got to give credit to Scotland. The way they're playing they don't deserve to be zero from two matches."

  7. A win's a win - Robertspublished at 18:37 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2016

    Wales 27-23 Scotland

"It's a good game of rugby today," says Jamie Roberts. "Scotland defended very well and they put us under a bit of pressure. A win's a win and fair play to Scotland to play until the end. The support here is incredible and it's an absolute privilege to play here."

There's no mad-dash to the line from the re-start for Scotland. Game over, but what a lovely game it was.

  11. try

Try - Taylor, conv Weirpublished at 78 mins

    Wales 27-23 Scotland

Ruaridh Jackson the architect of that try, his delightful ball putting Duncan Taylor through and the centre beats Gareth Anscombe's desperate defending to touch down.

Duncan Weir converts. A miracle finale?

  12. Wales 27-16 Scotlandpublished at 77 mins

Dan Lydiate is penalised for not rolling away, gifting Scotland a touch-finder into the Welsh 22. A last chance for the visitors? Probably.

Rhys Priestland replaces Dan Biggar and the Ospreys outside-half receives rapturous applause from his fans.

"Oof," wince the crowd as Jamie Roberts, with as much regard to his own safety as a crash test dummy, collides with Blair Cowan. Replacement Cowan is on the canvas and waving the white flag. Off he goes, while Roberts turns away and receives a tap on the shoulder from his team-mates.

Rich Francis: And that's why Scotland can't win matches. Four of them could have stopped that, all failed.

Andrew Priestley: Scotland's defence missed more tackles on that George North run-in for the try than they had in the whole match before it!

  16. Wales 27-16 Scotlandpublished at 74 mins

Did George North put a dagger into Scottish hopes? The Scots work their way into the Welsh 22m, but so eager is Willem Nel to haul his team back into this match that the prop knocks on and Wales have put-in at the scrum inside their own half. Five minutes or so remaining...

    BBC Radio 5 Live
    Ex-Wales scrum-half Robert Jones

"That was a great individual try by George North, although it was poor defence by Scotland. Everyone could see it coming. He stepped past four or five defenders quite easily - they didn't look as though they wanted to make a tackle on the big man."

  18. Wales 27-16 Scotlandpublished at 18:24 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2016

    Jonathan Davies
Former dual code international on BBC One

"That will do George North the world of good. He has been under a lot of pressure to score tries and that is a brilliant finish but defensively poor from Scotland."

  19. try

Try - North, Biggar convpublished at 72 mins

    Wales 27-16 Scotland

George North! A rare but welcome sight for Wales fans. North in the opposition 22, weaving across the field, leaving would-be tacklers grabbing at fresh air. There's no stopping the winger, who crosses over and leaves a simple conversion for Dan Biggar.

  20. Wales 20-16 Scotlandpublished at 69 mins

We're set for a barnstorming finale.

Gareth Davies, inside Scotland's 22, attempts to offload in the tackle, but finds a man in blue... Scotland atempt to run out of the 22 before they spill the ball in the tackle, allowing the men in red to spread it wide.

The play is brought back for the Scottish knock-on. Scrum to Wales in a promising position.
