Justin Tipuric not rolling away from the tackle and that allows captain Greig Laidlaw to test his radar. The scrum-half bisects the posts, deservedly putting his team ahead.

Bad news for Scotland as Stuart Hogg, whose coruscating runs has caught the eye in this match, leaves the field with an injury. Ruaridh Jackson is the man who needs to fill big boots.
Scrummaging problems, the referee George Clancy needing to give the Scottish front-row a talking to. The Scottish front three a tad too eager to engage, gifting Wales a penalty - but Dan Biggar fails to find touch.
Breathless stuff. Scotland kick the ball to the moon and back, Dan Biggar beaten in the air - that's a true story, not make believe - and the visitors are in opposition territory once again.

"I have been really impressed with Scotland in the last fifteen minutes. The mistakes from last week have gone and Tommy Seymour looks very comfortable under the high kick."
It's been a high-octane opening 25 minutes in Cardiff, the match flicking into life with that brilliant Gareth Davies try. Feel free to watch Wales' prime poacher cross the line by clicking this video.

John Barclay had Stuart Hogg haring up inside. I don't think grubber kicks are the strongest part of Barclay's armoury, he just didn't see Hogg.
Deary, deary me. John Barclay steals the loose ball and the field opens up for him. Liam Williams is the only Welsh defender... the forward has support, the lighting quick Stuart Hogg sprinting to his left - but he opts for a grubber which bounces into the right touchline and the Scottish fans groan in unison.
An opportunity missed, but a promising last 10 minutes for the Scots.
Cool, Mr Russell, very cool. The Scotland outside-half inside his own 22, backtracking, gathers the bouncing ball and, with the chasing Justin Tipuric homing in, the Scot coolly side-steps the flanker and boots the ball into touch.

Andrew Priestley: That Scottish try was the try of the Six Nations Championship so far.
Adam Shaw: Fantastic team try from Scotland. Patient build up, creating the space and deft finish. Great stuff.

After Wales dominated territory and possession in the opening stages, Scotland have come right back into it in the last five minutes.
Dan Biggar under pressure on his own line, with Greig Laidlaw and Finn Russell closing him down, but the outside-half beautifully finds touch, a mammoth effort. A wobbly scrum serving up iffy ball for the Welsh.
Luke Charteris, somehow, holds up the ball from the line-out and earns his team a pressure-relieving scrum. The men in red have been under the cosh these last five minutes... The crowd strike up a rendition of hymns and arias to aid their team.

One difference from last weekend is that Scotland scrum-half Greig Laidlaw is running from the base and attacking the first defenders. Instead of giving the ball he's running with the ball and bringing defenders in. Scotland are looking up for the cup today.
Dan Biggar with the trademark up-and-under which he masterfully gathers. But the outside half lands awkwardly, bellyflopping onto the turf. He receives some medical attention before returns to the backline.
Finn Russell boots the Scots into the Welsh 22 thanks to a penalty...

"That is great play and great patience. What a response from Scotland. It was a lovely kick and one of two players could have scored there."
Wales 7-7 Scotland
Canny, canny, canny.
Scotland remain patient until Finn Russell pulls the trigger, a well-weighted diagonal kick which Tommy Seymour, alone on the wing with the Welsh defence bedragled, gathers and touches down for a deserved try.
Can Greig Laidlaw nail the difficult touchline conversion? Of course.
Mark Bennett evades one tackle, but is brought to the ground by another, the Scots making yards, going through the phases... The Principality stadium quietened.
Greig Laidlaw nearly bursts through, but is clipped back... 16 phases, 17 phases... Scotland nearing the tryline.
This match promises to be one to remember. Both teams showing attacking intent, Scotland threatening when they have the ball. The visitors into the Wales half... Greig Laidlaw with a side-step... into the 22 the men in blue go...

"What a run and finish there from Gareth Davies. I said as soon as he got the ball he had a chance. He knows he cannot go straight so he cuts in and then it was just a foot race."
Wales 7-0 Scotland
Magical. Or was it?
Dan Biggar with a deft chip from inside his own half, Jamie Roberts knocks the ball back and Gareth Davies, with propellors in his boots, collects and bursts through the Scottish defence, a 40m dash to the touchline.
Dan Biggar with a tricky conversion but he adds the two points.
Rob Evans fails to engage properly in the scrum and the visitors are off the hook. Stuart Hogg earns acres with his mighty boot so the Welsh must start all over again.
