The Ireland fly-half has had some serious juggernauts coming down his channel in the past few weeks, but doesn't flinch as Gonzalo Garcia comes thundering at him.

He goes high and, with some help from Conor Murray, keeps the Italy centre off the deck to force a turnover.

Ireland are threatening to run riot - here's their second try, from prop Jack McGrath, which made it 12-0.

Italy suddenly have a line-out, five metres short of the Ireland line as Joe Schmidt's men allow their concentration to waver.

Ireland are starting to roll through the phases.

Flankers CJ Stander and Josh van der Flier are doing their best Sean O'Brien impressions with some bolshie charges.

Johnny Sexton gets a little artful, attempting a cross-field chip into the path of Keith Earls.

There appears to be a bounty on Johnny Sexton's head and Sergio Parisse is the latest to try to bring in the hunted man.

The Italy captain lands a hit on the Ireland fly-half, low but about 15 minutes late.

It is a penalty, but the referee keeps his cards in his pocket.

Sexton dusts himself off, steps up and slots three points more punishment.

"Italy had to take the points, just to try to settle things down a little bit. There are very few holes in the Ireland defence, it's so well-organised and I'm struggling to see how Italy can find a way through it. They can't build their game entirely around Sergio Parisse."

But there has been a little bit of skulduggery in the way Jamie Heaslip stripped the ball from Sergio Parisse's grasp. 

Donnacha Ryan boots the ball downfield, but we are coming back for a very kickable Italy penalty.  

Ireland's Robbie Henshaw takes a leaf from Michele Campagnaro's book, but he has knocked on as he rushes up out of defence.
