After a lacklustre first half from Sale, this is much more like it from the Sharks.

Instead of going for the posts with a penalty, Sale instead opt for the line-out and are rewarded when TJ Ioane touches down following a commanding driving maul. Joe Ford adds the extra and the hosts lead by three.

  2. Gloucester 10-3 Waspspublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

Gloucester are continuing to play intelligently and they're keeping a hold on this game. Clever kicks from James Hook and Billy Burns are keeping Wasps pinned in their half.

And they get another lift as they attack the Wasps scrum on half-way and win the penalty.

  3. Saracens 0-0 Northamptonpublished at 15:28

Saracens have won the first big set-piece contest of the game when Northampton got a scrum deep in the host's territory.

Scrappy execution in midfield lets the home side down, and Saints responded by dominating the second set-piece. It'll be a great battle up front by the looks of it.

No score and we're up to the 10th minute.

A while ago we asked you who England coach Eddie Jones should be keeping an eye on this afternoon. Here are a few of your suggestions. Any more folks?

  9. Saracens 0-0 Northamptonpublished at 15:22

Early signs that Northampton will be going for it today as a fizzing cut-out ball to the left almost got Tom Collins away down the left.

He was shepherded into touch in the end though.

Hayden Smith took Courtney Lawes high and the penalty goes against Saracens. Saints can attack again.

Relentless start at the Rec, with no break in play in the opening minutes.

It's fluid, it's exiting, plenty of the ball being recycled by both sides. There is no score.

On their five metre line, London Irish have a line out.

Replacements: Marshall, Waller, Hill, Craig, Dickinson, Kessell, Hanrahan, Mallinder.

  15. Gloucester 3-0 Waspspublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 5 March 2016

Gloucester have made a good start here but it's been slightly messy so far from Wasps with unforced errors disrupting their play.

The Cherry and Whites have an excellent field position following turnover ball and are putting the visitors under a lot of early pressure.

  18. Half-timepublished at 15:13

    Sale 9-13 Harlequins

The whistle blows on the first 40 at the AJ Bell Stadium and it's Harlequins who hold the advantage against a Sharks side near invincible on home turf.

Three penalties from Joe Ford were cancelled out by two from Ben Botica and a converted Tim Visser try.

    Advantage Quins.

    Saracens v Northampton (15:15 GMT)

By their own huge standards, Saracens are going through a lean patch, with just one win in their last three games.

Of course, that's tempered by the absence of some key figures in their side on international duty, and players such as Alex Goode are back this afternoon.

Northampton have struggled to match the consistency of previous seasons but they can still roll out a strong squad.

The Pisi brothers, Ben Foden and Luther Burrell, controlled by the experienced Stephen Myler and Lee Dickson are backed up by a strong pack including Courtney Lawes and Kieran Brookes.

    Mouthwatering.

Another crunch game for bottom-of-the-table London Irish.

Worcester's narrow victory against Newcastle last night now leaves Tom Coventry's side eight points adrift at the foot of the Premiership.

The Exiles' quest for an away Premiership win ticked over a year after Sunday's 47-20 defeat at Leicester.

Another defeat today and you fear for Irish's survival.
