Already-relegated London Irish, it seems, still have fight in them as they momentarily lead 7-6 against Wasps - Johnny Williams with the try and Theo Brophy Clews the conversion to put the Exiles up against semi-final bound Wasps.

However - and there was always going to be an however - Thomas Young touches down for Wasps and they lead 11-7 after 27 minutes.

At Kingston Park, Sam James' try sees Sale Sharks build a 10-point lead against Newcastle.

Elsewhere, Worcester still lead Saracens and Northampton are up against Gloucester, while at The Rec Peter Betham's try has edged Leicester ahead of Bath 14-10.

  2. Harlequins 3-17 Exeterpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

Harlequins pilling on the pressure now and they're flinging the ball around. Nick Easter with a nifty basketball lob before Chris Robshaw looked to be through but Harry Williams slaps the ball down and Quins are denied again.

  3. Harlequins 3-17 Exeterpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

It's been an electric first 25 minutes here at The Stoop but Harlequins are struggling to find that clinical edge. They knock-on from the scrum and the Chiefs clear their lines.

The TMO says there's nothing clear and obvious as the boos ring out around The Stoop. Danny Care was certain he'd scored there but the officials think otherwise. Harlequins with the scrum five metres out.

Oh there is going to be a lot of leapfrogging. Northampton are the movers in shakers right now with George Pisi's try to put ahead against Gloucester enough to move them to fifth in the table.

A Danny Cipriani penalty for Sale is keeping them 8-5 ahead of Newcastle, who saw Nili Latu go in for a try.

Wasps are ticking along, Ruaridh Jackson with a second penalty against London Irish.

At The Rec, Leicester levelled with Fraser Belmain going over against Bath. The hosts, however, edge back ahead 10-7 courtesy of a George Ford penalty.

Lastly, Cooper Vanu's try has put Worcester 14-7 up against Saracens.

  6. Harlequins 3-17 Exeterpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

We'll go to the TMO - try, yes or no? Danny Care wriggled over the line but did he have the strength to put it down?

But Harlequins have ball-in-hand in the Chiefs' 22 for the first time and they win a penalty. Danny Care kicks to touch and they'll look to strike straight back.

That was fantastic again from the Exeter Chiefs front eight. With this score, so early on, you wonder where the Harlequins mindset is. Is it on the European final next week?

And it's a third for the Chiefs. Good ball from the line-out and you're not going to stop Dave Ewers from there. He crashes over and Exeter take a big early lead.

  10. Harlequins 3-10 Exeterpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

Chiefs put on the charge at the scrum and win a penalty. Good pressure from Alec Hepburn as Exeter kick to touch again and will look to drive from the line-out.

"The rain has arrived at the Ricoh Arena where Wasps have an early 3-0 lead over London Irish."

Forget about rain, rain go away because Wasps need Quins, Quins to giddy-up if they stand a chance of finishing second in the table.

  12. Harlequins 3-10 Exeterpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

Quins need to settle now and we get our first scrum of the game on the half-way line. Chiefs with the put-in as Jamie Roberts is called for a dubious offside and Exeter kick to touch.

Once again Chiefs are in control but it's defended well by Quins from the line-out and they escape this time.

Premiership leaders Saracens having none of Worcester's strong start as they respond with a Neil de Kock try to level it up 7-7 at Sixways.

No change at Wasps as they lead London Irish 3-0. Exeter, however, doing enough to remain second in the table.

Sale open the scoring against Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park, David Seymour going over the Sharks. As it stands, Sale will finish fifth in the table as Northampton and Harlequins are behind in their respective matches.

Try (Nowell, missed con Steenson)published at 15:43 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

    Harlequins 3-10 Exeter

Exeter's pressure pays off. Henry Slade with a beautiful pass out wide to Jack Nowell, who dives over for his side's second try in quick succession. Both wings on the scoresheet for the Chiefs in the first 15 minutes.

  15. Harlequins 3-5 Exeterpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

And they're at it again. Chiefs with the ball from the line-out as the maul collapses and the forwards look to drive over the line. Penalty to come as Exeter are inches from the whitewash.

Fly-half Ruaridh Jackson lands Wasps' first points against London Irish. Wasps doing what has to be done nice and early. Remember, a Wasps victory coupled with an Exeter loss will see Dai Young's side finish second and earn a home semi-final.

Elsewhere, there has been a try at The Rec with Semesa Rokoduguni going over for Bath against Leicester.

Gloucester also lead Northampton 3-0 and Worcester are 7-0 up against Saracens thanks to a Andy Symons try.

  18. Harlequins 3-0 Exeterpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

Exeter are on the attack in the Harlequins half as Gareth Steenson kicks over the top but Quins will have the restart on the 22. Not one of his best chips.

  19. Penalty (Evans)published at 15:34 British Summer Time 7 May 2016

Nick Evans slots that one right through the posts and Quins are ahead at The Stoop.

Harlequins with the early position as we see the first charge from Wales international Jamie Roberts. We'll be expecting a few more carries from the big centre this afternoon.

We come back for the penalty and Quins with the chance to put the first points on the board.
