    New Zealand 39-6 Wales

Wales are really putting the pressure on the All Blacks, trying to slow down that ball, trying to create a mistake and snaffle the ball and get some space.

It's 75 minutes of hard graft, there are some tired boys out there.

Lima Sopoaga with a cute chip over Wales' high defensive line, Beauden Barrett gathers on the gallop... danger ahead? Not quite. The support isn't on Barrett's wavelength and Wales are off the hook. For now.

A sharp intake of breath from the spectators as Wales pass the ball from behind their own posts. They come away unscathed, booting the ball upfield into New Zealand hands.

Simon George:  Groundhog day for Wales again. I am Welsh. Gatland was great. But surely time for some new ideas?!!!

Brian Berry: NZ's Aaron Smith has to be streets ahead of any other 9 at the moment; his game management is excellent! Super service to 10 too!

A messy line-out from New Zealand, missing the men in both black and red. Wales fail to gather the unattached ball, Waisake Naholo pounces but was deemed to have knocked the ball forward before diving over.

Wales' engines coughing and spluttering, too much mileage has been put on the clock. They're running on empty, creaking as they attempt to go through the gears. They've missed 19 tackles in total. A clapped-out second-hand motor to New Zealand's Rolls Royce. Penalty New Zealand, to touch they go.

    New Zealand 39-6 Wales

Wales lose possession at the breakdown inside the New Zealand 22 and the All Blacks conjure another ruthless counter-attack. Israel Dagg, a shuffle of the hips, a change of pace, and he goes through Jonathan Davies as if he wasn't there... he's free down the right wing, only Liam Williams to beat, but the Scarlet is teak tough. Dagg Stopped. Wales saved.

Wales with a new pair of half-backs, Gareth Davies and Rhys Priestland pulling the strings. The men in red still have spirit, marvelous offloading from Alun Wyn Jones in the tackle, adding an injection of pace into the attack. Warren Gatland's men in New Zealand's half, moving from side to side...

Keith Miles: Being Welsh, you just seem to except these results against southern hemisphere teams. I wonder if the players have the same mentality.

TomVLawrie: I'd love to see Wales become a more attacking side. Strength up front crucial but it's not enough.

Warren Gatland's side missed the chance to dent the scoreline when the All Blacks were down to 14 men and the world champions have punished them brutally for that.

New Zealand have scored 14 points in five minutes to put this game beyond Wales.

The only question now is how big a hammering this is going to be...

  11. try

Try - Coles; conv Barrettpublished at 63 mins

    New Zealand 39-6 Wales

New Zealand, a team full of panthers. They make the difficult look easy, but they also do the simple things oh so well. Regal handling, three passes from the breakdown and Dan Coles is through unchallenged. Barrett converts and Wales are heading for a thrashing.

    New Zealand 32-6 Wales

Twenty minutes remaining and Wales will be hoping for a quick ending to this torturous half. More pain to endure though, you sense. Rhys Priestland is on the field which means Dan Biggar is now on the bench. It doesn't matter who is on the field, though, not even 30 Welshman can stop the All Blacks in this mood.

Fred Astaire-like footwork from Beauden Barrett, who has moved to full-back as Lima Sopoaga takes charge at outside-half.

He beats the Wales defence with ease, making Hallam Amos look like a muggle... Dan Biggar chases but he won't catch Barrett - even if he had set off in chase yesterday.

The All Black wonder converts his own try. Wales are down and out.

New Zealand make a number of chances, far too many to mention. Israel Dagg moves to the wing as Waisake Naholo takes his place on the other wing. Ben Smith shuffles into midfield.

Wales have the scrum in the middle of the park, but the All Blacks have their number, forcing the visitors to pop up.

All Blacks punching holes in the Wales midfield (Scott Williams, by the way, replaced Jamie Roberts a minute ago). Elliot Dixon loses the ball in contact. Respite for the visitors. A chance to regroup.

Rhys Webb with the box kick, it looks to be heading into touch... Dan Biggar puts on his red cape, turning into Superman as he leaps to stop the ball from going over... he taps it back, seems to have saved the day, but the referee blows his whistle. It will be a line-out for the hosts.

Sam Cane has been off the field and all the All Black have done is keep hold of the ball, Wales can't score a try without the ball.

Wales, of course, with the man advantage, though so busy are the 14 men in black on the field that you would have to pause the TV and slowly count the numbers to truly believe the visitors have any advantage. All Blacks camped in opposition territory.

Wales continuing to kick the ball down New Zealand's throats and the All Black back three see it as an opportunity to attack once more. Dan Biggar the man with the kick which puts his men up against it once again.

New Zealand with the line-out, no frills, doing the basics with ease. They put width on the ball, from one side to the next, before Beauden Barrett finds touch.
