Nigel Owens awards a penalty, he's made to look lilliputian as he talks to Skelton. It wasn't a deliberate pull down so Skelton will remain on the field. England aim for touch. 

Oh England, just when you'd done the hard work. Michael Hopper bossing the breakdown, pouncing on Jonathan Joseph like a panther as the England centre gathers the re-start. Joseph cannot release, Bernard Foley with an opportunity to add three points and he does so with ease.

We have seen a lot of the scrums go down and Nigel Owens has been very quick to decide who was the culprit.

Mako Vunipola knocks on in the tackle, but Nigel Owens was playing advantage so the men in white will have put-in at the scrum. The Wallabies' front row folds, which gives Owen Farrell a chance to aim at the posts - and he rattles it over. Two points in it. 

Mike Brown solid under the high ball, but Australia pounce on him like a pack of hungry predators. The full-back manages to pop a pass to Ben Youngs, but England are chasing their tails slightly.

JamesTalkSport: What a difference a week makes though. Where has the England tackles gone? 

Andrew Priestley:England look ragged in defence, no organisation at all. We haven't said that in a while. 

Australia into the England half, spinning it one way then the other... the hosts responding positively to that early England try. 

The Wallabies going through the phases, gaining ground with every move. To the blind-side Nick Phipps goes... decibels rise inside the stadium... Michael Hooper down the wing... an overhead inside pass... Juggling from Bernard Foley, he's through if he can keep hold of the ball, but he can't and Anthony Watson nicks it. 

Former England scrum-half Matt Dawson...

Sean McMahon has George Kruis in a vice-like grip and knocks the England lock back onto his backside. England need to be a tad quicker in possession. Australia with the scrum on the halfway line, their front row collapse but the referee tells the hosts to use the ball, which they do, setting their backs in motion.

Bernard Foley sprints over the whitewash but, hang on, Nigel Owens wants to check whether there was a knock on near the halfway line. Dane Haylett-Petty ignited the move, getting the better of Dan Cole, the winger passes to Israel Folau but was the ball knocked on as he attempted to free himself from the attention of Maro Itoje?

Nigel Owens spots Will Skelton on the floor, the lampost lock doesn't move away from the tackle and the Welshman has little option but to toot his whistle. A chance for England to escape from their on half, and they do so with style. Quickly, they're into Australia's 22... George Ford puts Jack Nowell into space, but he's stopped before he can cause any damage. 

Cheers from the partisan crowd as Nigel Owens blows his whistle, England's front row - Dan Cole specifically - not binding properly. But deary, deary me, Bernard Foley fails to find touch and the Aussie fans groan in unison. 

Superb defending from Bernard Foley as he comes away from a tackle on Owen Farrell with the ball. Boom! 

Mistakes from both sides in these early stages, though, England knocking forward in the Australian half, gifting Australia a put in at the scrum. 

Will Skelton using his 22-stone frame to good use as he stands up firmly in the tackle - he towers over Billy Vunipola... Australia ponderous with the ball, though, sloppy, too, and England steal the ball and dash forward with the help of George Ford's craft. 

England work their way out right, but Australia counter-ruck superbly, nick possession, and are awarded a penalty which Bernard Foley kicks to touch. The Wallabies on the front foot in these early stages.
