  1. Milestone win on horizon for Sharkspublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 16 September 2016

    Sale v Gloucester (19:45 BST)

Sale have been a regular fixture in rugby's Premiership since it was formed.

Anyway, enough of the history lesson. If Steve Diamond's side triumph this evening it'll be their 200th victory at Premiership level.

If that's not a big enough incentive to win, I don't know what is.

  3. When they last met...published at 19:34 British Summer Time 16 September 2016

    Sale v Gloucester (19:45 BST)

It's 20 weeks to the day since this Premiership fixture was last played, and that night it was Gloucester who emerged the unlikely winners.

Sale had gone more than a year without losing at home in the league, but the Cherry and Whites became the only team to come away from the AJ Bell stadium with four points last season.

Can David Humphreys' side repeat their heroics tonight?

  4. Week three awaitspublished at 19:30

The honeymoon period is over, new players have had a couple games to bed in and fans have been given a little taster of what they might be able to expect from their team this campaign.

But this is not the time to stop and reflect.

The third weekend of Premiership action is upon us, Sale and Gloucester are 15 minutes from kick off and we'll be across all the action at the AJ Bell Stadium.

You can't beat Friday night rugby - it's so good, in fact, that the football's started copying it this season!
