    Wasps 70-22 Bristol

That's the tenth try for Wasps.

Kyle Eastmond, who's come off the bench, shows great footwork to feed Elliot Daly for his second of the afternoon.

    Five minutes to go.

    Newcastle 10-8 Leicester

Leicester have started with great intensity in this second period. Richard Cockerill must've had some stern words in that changing room at half-time.

But his frustration shows once again as Leicester lose the ball and Falcons clear their lines.

Tigers have to be more clinical.

  3. try

Try (Cortes, con Jarvis)published at 16:05 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Wasps 63-22 Bristol

Bristol have certainly been better this second half and they're now only one score from a bonus point.

They're patient in attack and Gaston Cortes just about gets the ball down from close range and the try is given after it's referred to the TMO.

  4. Kick-offpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Newcastle 10-8 Leicester

We're back underway at Kingston Park.

We've got a fair way to go to catch up with Wasps against Bristol, but it's a much closer affair here.

Just two points in it with 40 to play.

  5. try

Try (Johnson, con Gopperth)published at 16:00 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Wasps 63-15 Bristol

It's a second try for replacement Ashley Johnson, and a ninth of the game for Wasps.

It's been a good afternoon for the Wasps hookers, and Johnson crashes through and scrambles over to touch down.

Still 11 minutes remaining at the Ricoh Arena - can the hosts reach double figures in terms of tries?

  6. Postpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Wasps 56-15 Bristol

Finally, an update which doesn't involve a try.

While Bristol need two more scores for a bonus point, if Wasps can extend their lead by another 15 points they will sit top of the Premiership tonight.

So still incentives for both sides even though the result is beyond doubt.

    Wasps 56-15 Bristol

Can I have that towel back?

From the set-piece Wasps were caught unawares, and Mitch Eadie spots the gap and dives over to make the most of the lapse in concentration.

Bristol are into double figures and may be eyeing a bonus point - they need two more tries to secure that.

Try (Cipriani, conversion missed)published at 15:47 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Wasps 56-8 Bristol

Golden boy Danny Cipriani has his first try since returning to Wasps this summer.

The England international does some great work down the flank and runs all the way in from 50 metres to get an eighth try for the home side after just 56 minutes.

Can Bristol not just throw the towel in?

  9. Half-timepublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Newcastle 10-8 Leicester

Slightly surprisingly, Newcastle go into the break with a narrow lead.

They went up 10-0 courtesy of Juan Pablo Socino's early try and Mike Delany's penalty, but Mike Fitzergerald grabbed his first try for Leicester to bring them back into the game and Burns slotted three points.

Not quite the shedding of points going on at the Ricoh but a quality game nonetheless.

Stay tuned for the second half.

Leicester are dominating Newcastle at the breakdown now as they cause chaos once again.

Ben Youngs feeds the ball into the scrum but Burns' flat pass finds Veainu on the touchline and he's bundled into touch.

Clock is on red but Newcastle will take the line-out.

  11. try

Try (Johnson, con Gopperth)published at 15:43 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Wasps 51-8 Bristol

From the back of a driving lineout, replacement hooker Ashley Johnson gets his first Premiership try.

If you remember, the man he replaced, Tommy Taylor, got the first try of the afternoon.

"Bristol aren't in the same league as Wasps," say BBC Radio Bristol - on this showing, they're not wrong.

  13. try

Try (Wade, con Gopperth)published at 15:39 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Wasps 44-8 Bristol

That was fine individual play from Christian Wade, who looks a shoo-in for man of the match.

The Wasps lineout doesn't go according to plan but the England international picks up the ball and shows audacious skill to find a gap and score try number six.

Jimmy Gopperth finds the middle of the posts with the conversion.

  14. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

Waldouck went off to celebrate there. Having put in the graft for the first try, he thought he'd grabbed one of his own.

Delany with a beautiful chip over the top which was plucked out of the air by Socino, and Waldouck scrambled over the line.

But referee JP Doyle pulls him for a double movement.

    Wasps 37-8 Bristol

Bristol have their first try of the game three minutes into the second half.

Captain Jack Lam squeezes over from close range but Samoan Tusi Pisi's conversion hits the post and comes out.

They'll need plenty more of this if they're to trouble Wasps.

"It's been hard to keep up!

"Wasps are bringing the pace, and they're exploiting the massive gaps the Bristol defence.

"They have a 34 point lead... if my maths is right, they need to stretch that to 56 points to go top.

"The visitors need to regain some composure if they want to get back into the game."

Incidentally, we're back underway at the Ricoh Arena.

    Newcastle 10-5 Leicester

Leicester have finally woken up and they're showing flashes of good rugby.

JP Pietersen explodes through a gap and kicks ahead for Peter Betham to collect.

But the momentum is lost as the ball spills out from the ruck. Poor presentation there costing Leicester.

Try (Fitzgerald, missed con Burns)published at 15:24 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Newcastle 10-5 Leicester

It was only a matter of time really.

Newcastle concede two penalties in a row and Ben Youngs offloads to Mike Fitzgerald down the blind side for their first try of the afternoon.

Freddie Burns with a difficult kick for the conversion and he pushes it wide.

  20. Penalty (Delany)published at 15:20 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Newcastle 10-0 Leicester

But he's accurate with this one and Newcastle are building a healthy lead at Kingston Park.
