  1. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Worcester 6-10 Wasps

Forget what I said before - Worcester have found an area where they can get success and are utilising it as much as possible.

That area is the scrum, and it's giving a hosts a foothold in this match.

After a frenetic start the game has calmed down in terms of scores.

  2. try

Try (Buchanan, Swiel con missed)published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2016

    Newcastle 7-8 Harlequins

Harlequins hit back after going through the phases with some smooth passing play, and prop Rob Buchanan puts the visitors back ahead in the corner.

Tim Swiel misses the chance to add the extras midway through the first half.

It's all Wasps at Sixways, and I'd be surprised if Dai Young's smile hasn't got wider.

The visitors mount a patient attacking move, which reaches its 11th phase before a stray pass, while Worcester's line-out is a mess, quite frankly.

Carl Hogg's side are hanging on by a thread.

  4. try

Try (Young, con Hodgson)published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2016

    Newcastle 7-3 Harlequins

Newcastle get the first try of the afternoon in the north east.

Winger Alex Tait opens up the Quins defence and scrum-half Michael Young is there in support and gets the score.

Joel Hodgson adds the extras. They've played 15 minutes at Kingston Park.

  5. Penalty (Shillcock)published at 11 mins

    Worcester 6-10 Wasps

Warriors won't be moaning at that decision!

Some solid work from their scrum not only pushes Wasps back but wins them a penalty - teenager Jamie Shillcock does the honours.

Plenty of early scoring here, which can only be a good sign.

  6. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Worcester 3-10 Wasps

The home side clearly feel aggrieved by one or two early decisions which may have gone against them.

I can safely say they haven't really altered the trend of this game thus far.

  7. Penalty (Miller)published at 8 mins

    Worcester 3-10 Wasps

Forget the Worcester shambles at the start, Wasps have started this one like they mean business.

The visiting forwards force an error, and Rob Miller kicks the resulting penalty for the favourites.

Remember, Wasps are without 16 players today...

  8. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2016

    Newcastle 0-3 Harlequins

Harlequins take the lead at Newcastle through Tim Swiel's penalty.

Quins have had most of the territory in the opening eight minutes at Kingston Park.

Swiel slots the ball between the posts from just outside the 22, about 10 meters in from the touchline.

  9. Penalty (Shillcock)published at 4 mins

    Worcester 3-7 Wasps

It doesn't repair the damage of the opening minute, but Warriors have at least reduced their arrears.

Wasps are penalised for not releasing and Jamie Shillcock converts an almost unmissable penalty.

  10. try

Try (Macken, con Miller)published at 1 min

No such thing as easing your way into the match!

For Worcester, it was the equivalent of scoring an own goal, as Brendan Macken is allowed to intercept on the halfway line and run over between the posts without any trouble.

Rob Miller converts as Wasps take full advantage.

    Sunday's Premiership rugby

The referees have sounded their whistles and we're underway at both Sixways and Kingston Park.

Warriors man Nick Schonert was given a special entrance onto the field - the prop is making his 50th appearance for the side this afternoon.

    Sunday's Premiership rugby

As kick off approaches, what could today's results mean for the table?

Well, Wasps will move back above Bath into second if they win at Worcester, who have won just once in their past 13 Premiership games.

However, Dai Young's side have lost their past two Premiership away outings at leaders Saracens and Gloucester.

Newcastle and Harlequins are both very much in mid-table, though the hosts have the added incentive of moving above Quins into seventh with victory - it's very much all to play for.

    Worcester v Wasps (15:00 GMT)

It may have been in a different competition and at a different ground, but some might say Wasps already have the upper hand on their hosts before the game has even started.

Just three weeks ago they walloped Worcester 62-10 at the Ricoh Arena in the Anglo-Welsh Cup - the star that day was Dan Robson, who starts for Wasps at scrum-half this afternoon.

A psychological boost for the visitors, perhaps?

Australia international James Horwill returns from a dislocated finger to captain Harlequins, who are without Marland Yarde due to international duty.

Warriors have made six changes to the side which lost at Exeter last time out.

Georgia hooker Jaba Bregvadze, Samoa number eight Alafoti Faosiliva, lock Donncha O'Callaghan, flanker Sam Lewis, centre Jackson Willison and Tonga winger Cooper Vuna all earn recalls.

Worcester are without centre Ben Te'o, who was on the bench for England at Twickenham yesterday.

    Worcester v Wasps (15:00 GMT)

There's been a late change to the Wasps starting XV, and it's a significant one.

England international Danny Cipriani has been ruled out with a calf strain, so Rob Miller moves to fly-half and Piers O'Conor comes in at full back.

Elliot Daly is suspended after a red card on England duty, but Dai Young's biggest concern will be his growing injury list, which includes forward James Haskell (toe) as well as backs Christian Wade (foot), Jimmy Gopperth (knee), Kyle Eastmond (chest) and Kurtley Beale (knee).

In fact, the visitors could make an entire line-up of their unavailable players.

Replacements: Willis, Harris, Swainston, Rowlands, Thompson, Simpson, Armitage.

    England 37-21 Australia

It's a busy afternoon of Premiership action, but we can always find time to squeeze in a reminder of England's record-equaling 14th consecutive Test victory.

Eddie Jones' side started poorly, but rallied to beat Australia 37-21 at Twickenham and ensure they'll end 2016 unbeaten.

Bath v SaracensImage source, Rex Features

It's four games down, two to go in this 10th round of Premiership fixtures.

The highlight so far came at the Rec, where Alex Lozowski failed to kick a last-gasp penalty for Saracens as Bath held on to beat the Premiership leaders in front of a record crowd.

Yesterday's other matches were both derbies - Adam Thompstone scored a try and was sin-binned in quick succession as Leicester overcame Northampton, while Gloucester scored four second-half tries as they came from behind to secure a bonus-point win over Bristol.

Under the Friday night lights, Exeter scored three first-half tries as they eased to a third consecutive Premiership victory against Sale.
