Greig Laidlaw beats his fist to the thistle on his chest.

Vern Cotter breaks into smiles and embraces.

A fan in the crowd is more than a little moist-eyed.

What a result, what an opener.

Amazing stuff from Scotland again. Using the experience of some of the difficult games you have come close to winning in the final moments and lost.

Scotland are playing this very cleverly.

A clean line-out and one-out rugby with the heavy traffic rumbling up one phase after another.

    Another penalty!

And this time, Greig Laidlaw will go for the posts. Very slowly.

Ireland will not have time to get the match restarted if he plays it right...

Scotland second row Jonny Gray is approaching the Six Nations record for most tackles in a match (31). With two minutes to go he has made 28. Heroic.

I don't think that tackle was "with force or speed" - It started low and went high.

That was borderline in every sense.

In a game of this intensity and physicality it is unbelievable that this is the first time the referee has had to look at a high tackle, with this new directive.

For me it is just a penalty. I don't believe it was dangerous or reckless, but it was high.

Tommy Bowe's arm strays high around the neck of a Scotland back as he makes a covering tackle.

Penalty Scotland. Do they go for points? Or kick for touch and gobble up the clock?

    The latter.

Scotland are looking for the killer blow.

Either a knock-out punch or by smothering out the seconds.

Rumbling up around the fringes around the Ireland 10-metre line.

Ireland run Stuart Hogg's clearing kick back to the Scotland 10m line.

    But they spill the pill!

Greig Laidlaw wallops the kick long, but Rob Kearney gets back to clear up on the stretch.

Gaping holes out there and gallons of lactic acid.

Scotland with seven minutes to hold out.

They have claimed the restart cleanly enough.

Scotland now rousing the Murrayfield crowd from their seats, bashing up around the fringes on the Ireland 22m.

Jamie Heaslip is a little slow rolling away. Up pings Romain Poite's arm and Greig Laidlaw has a shot at goal from just off to the right of the posts.

Not quite a gimme, but not far off...

As Scotland's attack was so good in the first half, it has allowed them to stay just a point behind in the second.

Ten minutes to go. It's a one point ball game. We knew it was going to be tight.

Laidlaw needs to get the guys together and say, "one moment of inspiration, one big hit is all it takes now!"

Simon Fallaha: That's more like it...

Jacob Wells: You really wouldn't trust Scotland with your dog. They can't hold onto a lead!

    England v France (16:50 GMT)

    Chris Jones
BBC Radio 5 live rugby reporter

"Have just got a sense of the physical challenge facing England as four enormous French forwards walk out of the Twickenham tunnel to warm up.

"England are giving away plenty of weight to the French, with the visitors pack amassing 150 stone (950kg) in total. That's a monstrous 18st 11.5lb a man."

Scotland have to find a footing in this game, this second half they have defended for long spells and Ireland have shown their class.

Scotland put in a big shift in the first half and are now starting to tire.

A quality piece of line-out vandalism from John Barclay who comes sniffing round to spoil Ireland's ball at the back of the line and force the turnover.

The hosts are still within a point as we head into the final 10 minutes. If this is the sort of finale the new bonus-point rules give us, I'm all for them.
