    Italy 3-14 Ireland

Ireland are taking out their Murrayfield frustrations here.

Relentless pressure, waves of attacks crashing against the creaking Italy defence.

    There's space out wide again...

It's good to see that visually Irish confidence is growing. But I'd like to see a little bit more accuracy in the passing.

    Italy 3-14 Ireland

Niall Scannell, who has looked good in place of Rory Best, picks out Jamie Heaslip with a line-out dart.

That is a little ambitious though. Simon Zebo is given the task of beating his opposite man on a patch of turf the size of a telephone box.

He drops the ball and it is scrum down Italy.

Keith Earls has scored in his last four Tests, only winger Joseph Quinn (who scored five in 1913-14)  has scored in more consecutive games for Ireland.

"That's a superb try. A real team try. There were little things in the middle that were excellent."

Converted Try - Italy 3-14 Irelandpublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    CJ Stander (con Jackson)

This is more like the clinical dissections we are used to from Joe Schmidt's side.

A clever understanding of space and pace as the ball is worked back to the opposite wing from Robbie Henshaw's burst and Simon Zebo's neat hands put the bullocking CJ Stander into the corner.

Paddy Jackson's ugly scudding kick scrapes over for another two.

    Italy 3-7 Ireland

Ireland are straight back to the grindstone, thumping up big runner tight to the breakdown and then spinning wide.

A lovely deft offload from Jamie Heaslip and Robbie Henshaw batters into the Italy 22m.

    How dominant have Ireland been?

Well their 85% possession tells the tale of the half so far.

That's a very silly penalty to concede and a cheap three points to give straight back to Italy.

Carlo Canna strokes over an immediate reply, lining up a penalty and bissecting the sticks.

Good stiff upper lip from the hosts. They have been worse than four points off Ireland in the first 15 minutes.

  12. The Zebo showpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

Simon Zebo has been instrumental in the opening 13 minutes for Ireland.

The winger only made 50m in the defeat to Scotland, but has already run 27m against the Italians, beating two defenders in his four carries.

He narrowly missed out on a try which would have capped the perfect start for the Munster player.

  13. 'Fully deserved'published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Italy 0-7 Ireland

    Tony Ward
Former Ireland and Lions fly-half on BBC Radio Ulster

Who am I to question the captain? That was well created in the end.

Ireland squeezed Italy tight and Keith Earls had a clear run into the line. A well taken try and fully deserved.

Italy's defence finally folds as green shirts queue up out wide to take advantage of the tiring hosts. Keith Earls strolls in in the spring sunshine.

    Paddy Jackson adds the extras.

    Italy 0-0 Ireland

Simon Zebo dives over, attempts to dot the ball down behind his back under the cover tackle pressure from Angelo Esposito and Carlo Canna.

It looked like a spike rather than a dot-down on first viewing. And the video confirms that it is no try.

    Back for the penalty Ireland.

  20. 'Winning these scrums is crucial'published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Italy 0-0 Ireland

    Jim Neilly
    BBC Radio Ulster commentator

'Ireland have a fair weight advantage over Italy and did really well in the scrums last week. However, they are missing Rory Best, so Niall Scannell has a lot of responsability. Winning these scrums is crucial.'
