Greig Laidlaw is a great tactician, a brilliant kicker and brings that extra level of leadership - and surely some confidence after ending up on the British and Irish Lions tour.

And, just in case I didn't make this entirely clear in the previous entry, Gloucester are now back up to 15 players.

The players are back out for the second half. What will David Humphreys have said to his players in the dressing room, and will it have the desired effect?

The interception try has served Gloucester well in this competition lately, as Billy Burns' helped see them overcome La Rochelle in the semi-finals.

They've been slightly second best tonight at times, but Jonny May's interception try has them level at the break so far.

Gloucester will take great heart from that first half, when at times they've been under the pump. And to manage to see out seven or eight minutes of that yellow-card period too? They'll be happy.

Jeremy Goodwin: Delayed our honeymoon by a week to watch Wales Fiji in rwc'15. Thankfully wife enjoyed Cardiff!

It may not have been her first choice, sure, but I can think of worse places to have your honeymoon.

Dan Beard: Why don't Gloucester play like this in the Premiership?

A fair question, Dan. If they had they'd likely already have a European Champions Cup spot for next season in the bag.

Well, Jonny May ran all of 60m to open to the scoring for the Cherry and Whites, before Sergio Parisse touched over from three yards to get the French side on terms.

Billy Burns and Jules Plisson have been faultless from the tee so far.

Stade have been the stronger at the set-piece, but Gloucester's defence has been rock solid, as they survived almost 10 minutes without their captain, Willi Heinz.

Stade Franais form a maul from a line-out and they try to drive forward towards the line, but Gloucester's defence holds firm.

After plenty of discussion, it's just a penalty to Stade Francais, near halfway.

The tensions were high there though, that's for sure!

Gloucester's Lewis Ludlow was arguably one of the luckier players not to be yellow carded.

The officials are now deliberating over what went on there.

There were so many players flying into one another, it was tough to tell who was shoving who, who was grappling who, and who was tossing who to the ground.

They've gone upstairs to the TMO for a replay.

It just got completely out of hand there. One of the Gloucester players came through and took Will Genia out. Genia didn't like it, reacted, and that led to one player after another piling in. Hopefully no punches were thrown...

It's all kicked off all of a sudden! There's a real scrap. Almost everyone is involved, down by the touchline. The officials step in to try and sort it out.

You have to say, so far, with 14 men, Gloucester have done very well to not let their inferior numbers count against them on the scoreboard.

They're playing rugby in the Stade Francais half.
