The England girls will have a breather and compose themselves in the dressing room. The scrum is something they need to work on but they have good people on the bench to improve it.

Ireland had a great phase of play but England did so well to withstand it with some excellent defence.

Ireland now have the wind in the second half - I think England would have wanted a bigger lead.

    HT: Ireland 0-5 England

A nail-biting end to the first half but Ireland's attack collapses and the whistle goes for the end of the half.

Ireland will be happy with that first 40 having restricted England to just one try from Amy Wilson Hardy.

But brilliant defence from England at the end kept their advantage to five points.

England's Amber Reed is penalised for playing the ball on the ground and Ireland turn down the points in favour of the corner.

    Ireland 0-5 England

The Donnybrook crowd want a St Patrick's Day party, and their side have come up with a plucky performance so far.

It's been green defence against white attack so far, but Ireland are ending this half inside the England 22.

They win the line-out and set up the maul which is powering towards the try line.

Just under five minutes left before the break to cross the whitewash...

    Ireland 0-5 England

We're just over the half-hour mark at Donnybrook and England have looked the better side in possession.

Conditions are tricky and Ireland's defence has restricted England's dangerous runners to just one try.

England try once again to put the ball through the hands but Ireland's centre Jenny Murphy comes up with another great tackle and forces the knock-on.

    Ireland 0-5 England

Ireland snatch yet another line-out on England's throw and fly-half Nora Stapleton sets off.

Justine Lucas comes up with the ball at the breakdown, but she was off her feet and Ireland once again can clear their lines.

It's Marie Louise Reilly doing all the work at the set-piece, and she's from the same village as Devin Toner.

But Stapleton's kicking hasn't settled this evening and she comes up with another error.

It's a great match-up. Ireland have been so solid defensively but all the possession and territory has been to England, and it will be interesting to see if Ireland can manage the same when the teams switch around at half-time.

Huge cheers around Donnybrook as Ireland win the turnover.

Ireland winger Alison Miller upends England lock Harriet Millar-Mills with a great hit.

That could be the boost Ireland need to start a period of possession here.

Emily hates it when I give her little chats to help her. We're housemates but she doesn't take the criticism very well when I tell her!

    Emily Scarratt

The right decision by England to go for the points but Emily Scarratt's kick drifts wide.

The England centre got just two from 12 in their last game against Scotland, and the conditions haven't helped her this evening.

    Ireland 0-0 England

England with their best attack of the match so far.

Emily Scott put in the high kick and Ireland's defence failed to deal with it.

The ball bobbled around and was eventually gathered by the white shirts who got the ball out to Kay Wilson on the wing, but Ireland covered well.

Ireland are pulled for offside and Emily Scarratt will have her first shot at the posts.

Ireland's defence has held up well so far.

They're competing furiously at the breakdown and England are struggling to get quick ball out wide.

And they've got Kay Wilson on the wing - who scored seven tries last time out.

Ireland are still inside their own half and Nora Stapleton puts in a huge clearing kick - but it's kicked out on the full.

England with a line-out in a good position and they secure good ball to set the maul up.

    Ireland 0-0 England

A fair few knock-ons so far this evening as the ball looks to be slippy.

England's line-out goes amiss but they're keeping Ireland pinned in their own half.

They've got the wind in this first half so they'll need to use it.
