So this is how the Premiership looks after today's results...

Leicester have opened up a four-point gap between themselves and fifth-placed Bath.

Gloucester are within one point of the top six, while Sale remain 10th in the table.

At the bottom, Worcester's win leaves Bristol 12 points adrift at the foot of the Premiership and they will be relegated if they lose to Wasps on Sunday.

    Gloucester 36-27 Sale

What a wonderful, wonderful move from Gloucester to potentially win this match. Tom Marshall shows a blistering turn of speed, lays off to Ben Vellacott and the Billy Twelvetress does the rest.

Excellent conversion from Billy Burns adds the extra two.

    Worcester 25-16 Bath

Finally we have a bit of play and Newcastle manage to scramble it clear. They don't want to go out with a whimper it seems.

    Leicester 25-3 Newcastle

Scrum after scrum after scrum after scrum. It's like Groundhog Day at Welford Road as Leicester keep turning the proverbial screw against Newcastle.

They can't get out of the succession of scrums though at the moment. Yellow card coming for Newcastle?

These were the scenes after Wynand Olivier's second-half try that put Worcester in front.

A win will leave bottom club Bristol an almost impossible task to stay in the Premiership.

  16. try

    Gloucester 29-27 Sale

Gloucester are pushing and pushing and pushing, and potential Ben Morgan try is sent up to the TMO, however it's not given.

But pretty much immediately after Tom Marshall crosses for his second of the game following superb hands from Billy Burns and lovely passing overall for the Cherry and Whites.

Burns adds the extras. Gloucester back in front.

    Worcester 18-16 Bath

Bath are back to within two points at Sixways with 13 minutes to play. George Ford kicks his third penalty of the afternoon.

With Leicester winning easily against Newcastle, a victory is critical for Bath's top-four hopes.

England coach Eddie Jones is watching an eventful game at Kingsholm, where Sale are still just ahead against Gloucester with about 15 minutes to play.

AJ MacGinty has added another penalty and the Sharks lead by five points, but they've lost Ross Harrison to the sin bin for 10 minutes.

    Leicester 25-3 Newcastle

It's an easy conversion for Freddie Burns.

And, after all the handbags, the referee gives a lesser-spotted penalty restart to Newcastle. Anyone know the last time that happened in the Premiership?

    Worcester 18-13 Bath

Worcester almost have a third try! But Taulupe Faletau saves the day for Bath, racing back to beat Chris Pennell to a kick through and touch down ahead of the Warriors' full-back.
