England head coach Eddie Jones is in the stands to watch Northampton, but he won't be the man on the forefront of Dylan Hartley's mind at the moment.

    That will be Warren Gatland.

More on that at half-time in this game. We still have three minutes to go with Northampton currently in possession.

    HT: Bristol 7-21 Wasps

The home side have had more possession, more territory and created more try-scoring opportunities.

Wasps have been one thing - clinical.

Jason Woodward's try put Bristol in front but Josh Bassett, Tommy Taylor and Joe Simpson have all gone over for the visitors against the run of play.

As things stand, Bristol's relegation from the Premiership will be confirmed today.

  4. Penalty (Lozowski)published at 15:42 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Northampton 13-6 Saracens

Saints penalised at the breakdown. Alex Lozowski slots through the posts. Three points on the board for Saracens.

    It's as simple as that.

    Bristol 7-21 Wasps

Ruthlessness from Wasps and naivety from the Championship-bound hosts in equal measure.

Bristol make a rare error which allows the leaders to exit their 22, and Kurtley Beale moves forward to feed Joe Simpson, who races clear to slide over.

Gopperth converts and Bristol must feel deflated.

Let's be realistic - Bristol are going to go down, whether it's today or another time.

If they get relegated after a performance like this, they can hold their heads high.

This time Billy Searle looks to have a clear run through for the home side, but Phil Swainston saves Wasps with a last-ditch tackle.

  9. Penalty (Myler)published at 15:37 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Northampton 13-3 Saracens

Northampton are close to bagging their second try of the afternoon after superb work on the wing by Ben Foden, before the ball is played to David Ribbans.

The second row can't sort out his feet and his held up on over the line above a pile of players.

Still, we go back to an earlier penalty, which Stephen Myler slots over to take the advantage back to 10 points.

Duncan Taylor is also back on the field for Saracens.

    Bristol 7-14 Wasps

Bristol are passing up opportunities to kick penalties and put points on the board, instead going to the corner.

While this approach is admirable, it once again leaves the hosts empty-handed as the ball goes into touch after Jason Woodward's dart to within two metres of the line.

Going for tries is getting the fans cheering, but ultimately those decisions might be costing them.

Dai Young is probably wondering how his team is ahead here, as Wasps have got out of jail a couple of times.

Meanwhile the visitors bring on Thomas Young for Nathan Hughes, who looks like he may have an issue with his collar bone.

    Northampton 10-3 Saracens

Northampton number eight Louis Picalmoles soldiered on after that clash with Sarries prop Titi Lamositele, but can do so no more.

The France international is replaced by Teimana Harrison.

    Bristol 7-14 Wasps

The home side are holding onto the ball until it gets to the vital try-scoring moment.

This time Alby Mathewson is too slow to release the ball in a promising position and it eventually drops out the side of the maul and Wasps kick clear.

That's two visits to the Wasps 22 where they should've put points on the board - the story of Bristol's season.

  14. Penalty (Lozowski)published at 15:29 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Northampton 10-3 Saracens

Saints are penalised for a player being off his feet, so Alex Lozowski is given the chance to get Sarries on the board, which he duly takes from around 30 metres out.

    Northampton 10-0 Saracens

With 14 men, Saracens have responded well and are so nearly in for their first try, in the corner, but Ben Foden hauls down Nathan Earle into touch before he can offload to Marcelo Bosch for a straightforward try.

A chance opens up for Bristol if they can move the ball quickly, and the crowd are really backing them.

But the hosts frustratingly lose the ball in the tackle and Wasps are able to clear over the head of Billy Searle.

That's certainly classed as a missed opportunity for the underdogs.

  17. Penalty (Myler)published at 15:24 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Northampton 10-0 Saracens

From the resulting penalty, Stephen Myler slots it right through the posts with ease. Saints totally dominant so far.

  18. Sin-bin (Taylor)published at 15:24 British Summer Time 16 April 2017

    Northampton 7-0 Saracens

Saracens are down to 14 men despite some outstanding defensive work, with Saints' Nic Groom stopped just before the line.

However, the pressure is just too much and Duncan Taylor will spent the next 10 minutes in the bin.

  19. try

    Bristol 7-14 Wasps

That's how quickly Wasps can turn on the style, and it perhaps shows the defensive deficiencies that Bristol have unfortunately displayed all season.

The time the score comes from a maul and Tommy Taylor is the man to scurry over the line, with Jimmy Gopperth once again dissecting the posts.

Remember, Bristol need two points from this match or they're relegated.

    Northampton 7-0 Saracens

Nope. Saints mauled off the lineout and get close before they're brought down illegally, but the ref thought they may have got over anyway.

They hadn't, and we go back for a penalty.
