The Lions seem to be just waiting for their man advantage to take effect, rather than seizing the advantage.

The All Blacks with nothing to lose are throwing their shoulder to the grindstone.

    Up to the 22m.

The Lions seem to be panicking after half time, too keen to exert numerical authority and giving away needless penalties as a result.

They somehow have to forget the All Blacks are a man down and play as if it's 15 v 15.

More heavy-duty runners from the All Blacks.

Waisake Naholo comes in off the blindside wing.

Conor Murray gets twitchy in defence and wraps an arm around the neck of Anton Lienart-Brown.

Another bit of indiscipline and Beauden Barrett has another chance to pot at goal.

A little further out this one on a similar angle to his earlier miss...

The Lions gameplan shouldn't change. Often when you have a numerical advantage you play differently - and you might want to against most teams - but the All Blacks aren't most teams!!

My messages at the break would have that firstly referee Jerome Garces isn't allowing a scrap at the breakdown and your accuracy has to be spot on otherwise it's a straight penalty. There hasn't been any messing in the department. So either compete and compete legally or leave the ruck alone.

Bar that more of the same! It's a massive 40 minutes, doesn't even need telling how huge this is. Do the basics well, be patient, keep your composure and take your opportunities, there won't be many tonight in these conditions. This is the best opportunity the Lions will have to beat the All Blacks! Believe & achieve!

    Well, well.

Beauden Barrett, laser-like accurate in the first Test, sends his kick screwing wide.

The All Blacks need their points machine to be churning out product if they are to win.

Jamie George finds Saracens team-mate Maro Itoje with his first line-out dart of the half. But the All Blacks have come out of the dressing rooms, chomping at the bit.

Ngani Laumape crashes into the red wall and shudders the foundations of the Westpac.

All Blacks on the front foot. And a penalty their way.

    Well within range.

Can the Lions close this out with a man advantage?

Or can the All Blacks pull off one of the great back-to-the-wall victories?

A brilliant first half from both teams, with the Lions equalising as the clock goes red. They'll be the team to go in feeling perhaps a bit more positive at half-time. The All Blacks down to 14 men through the red card to Sonny Bill Williams and rightly so - it was a clear shoulder charge which was reckless and made clear contact with Anthony Watson's face. Good strong refereeing from Jerome Garces, whose positioning for the majority of the half has been excellent.

Interesting to see that they took off Jerome Kaino and are now down to seven men in the pack. On a wet and windy night in Wellington you would think that this game will be won upfront. That's where the All Blacks won the game last weekend, but with the conditions as they are and two playmakers for the Lions in Johnny Sexton and Owen Farrell you need to cover the backfield comfortably.

    Ross Harries
Scrum V presenter at Westpac stadium, Wellington

This is real test of Warburton’s leadership now. He’s experienced enough to know that a one-man advantage does not a victory make.

His calm head and assured direction can guide this Lions side towards a stirring victory. The Sexton-Farrell axis may have been picked to allow the Lions to play with more width, but the weather, and the red card has changed that.

The rolling maul has gathered momentum in a way it never did at Eden Park, and the one-man scrum advantage simply has to be exploited.

Impactful off the bench last weekend, Itoje has made a mockery of his non-selection for the first Test with an all-action performance of power and menace.

The Englishman still has some raw edges to his game, but his confrontational approach is exactly what is called for in Test matches like these.

It's still raining, but has relented quite considerably as we make it to half-time.

The Lions won't get a better chance to win a Test in New Zealand than this, but have to remain focused, disciplined and accurate.

It is set to be an incredibly compelling second 40.
