The weather radar is looking a right old mess over Wellington.

Heavy rain, high winds and just short of the hounds of hell according to the BBC forecast.

The local weather-watchers are a little bit more optimistic, slipping an All Black outlook into their prediction.

Owen Farrell and Johnny Sexton have played just 74 minutes together so far on tour.

Twenty-three minutes at the end of the first Test and another 51 against the Crusaders, after an injury to Jonathan Davies forced a change.

Untried and untested as a starting combination, it is the 10-12 chassis that the Lions wagon is rolling on this afternoon.

Radio Sport New Zealand commentator Nigel Yalden on BBC 5 live: "The All Blacks speak a lot about legacy. This team want to create their own legacy. They will want to wrap this series up, put a bow on it tonight, and then make it 3-0 in Auckland next week."

The Lions have no room for manoeuvre.

Defeat here and any dreams that still linger of following in the hallowed footsteps of the class of 1971 - the only one of 11 previous Lions tourists to leave with a series win - are dust.

    Time to be bold.

And Warren Gatland has been bold...

The first Test was a chastening reminder that a hotch-potch teams - no matter the quality of the components - is always second favourite against the most awesome winning machine in sport.

New Zealand rolled the British and Irish Lions 30-15 in last weekend's first Test in Auckland.

It could have been a whole lot better said some, pointing to several chances that the tourists left untaken

But it could have been a lot worse as well, with Rhys Webb scoring an consolation try with the clock in the red and an apparent infringement on Sonny Bill Williams in the early stages of Sean O'Brien's score.
