    HT: England 22-7 Samoa

The telling stat from that half is England have made seven handling errors, to just five from Samoa.

But for all their loose carries in attack, Eddie Jones' side have only conceded two penalties in defence.

And, they got the rub of the green for that first try from Mike Brown. A familiar tale for England in the autumn internationals.

The queues getting in to the Principality Stadium have been a big problem pre-match these past two weeks. So it makes sense to stick BBC Sport’s live coverage of Scotland v Australia on the big screens and let Andrew Cotter’s commentary bring the punters in early. Big cheers for every Scotland try.

Try - Scotland 39-17 Australiapublished at 62 mins

    Byron McGuigan

    And another!

After being held up on the five metre line, Scotland opt to send the ball down the line and Byron McGuigan is ready and waiting to receive it in the corner and touch down his second try.

Another miss from the tee for Finn Russell, so the hosts just fall short of the 40 point mark for now.

    Scotland 34-17 Australia

We've had a load of changes but the most important one is Stephen Moore.

The Australia hooker walks off the rugby pitch for the final time, on his 129th cap. He's hanging up his boots tonight.

    Chris Paterson
Former Scotland international on BBC One

Australia are going to throw everything at Scotland now. If Scotland can make their tackles and keep their concentration then they can win this game by 50 points. They can finish Australia off in a big way this afternoon.

  9. Townsend making his markpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Scotland 34-17 Australia

    Andy Robinson
Former England and Scotland head coach on BBC One

It's more great decision-making from Finn Russell. Great confidence from Scotland to see that space. That's what Gregor Townsend would have done as a player and this display has all the hallmarks of a Townsend side. Great call, great awareness and a great finish from Jones.

  10. Half-timepublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    England 22-7 Samoa

Courtney Lawes, on for the injured Joe Launchbury, catches at the line-out but England's forwards fail to get the maul moving.

Danny Care flings the ball out to Alex Lozowski and it's turned over once again by Samoa.

England have been sloppy at times, but that's the 40. Time for some oranges, protein, energy drinks?

    I'll just take a tea.

    Huw Jones

    In, out, over.

    Another Scotland try!

Huw Jones makes it five tries in five international matches as he darts over from a quick tap-and-go penalty from Finn Russell.

    He can't convert, though.

Kurtley Beale levelled for Australia before Scotland hit back.

    Here's how it went...

  13. Postpublished at 38 mins

    England 22-7 Samoa

What a kick from Elliot Daly.

The winger smashes a left-footed punt right down the line, and it just brushes the whitewash. Very lucky.

Tough judge Nigel Owens is back where the kick took place, but he rules in England's favour.

Line-out to the hosts with two minutes to play.

  15. Postpublished at 36 mins

    England 22-7 Samoa

Samoa continue to rule the breakdown though, with their second turnover in as many minutes.

Scrum-half Dwayne Polataivao gets in to disrupt and steals the ball as the visitors clear their lines.

A relative period of calm here at Twickenham.

    Scotland 29-17 Australia

    Chris Paterson
Former Scotland international on BBC One

The work of the Scotland front five made that try. Great play from Jonny Gray to get the ball away and then he's slipped in once again by Jamie Bhatti. Michael Hooper looked a broken man at the end of that phase.

  17. Postpublished at 32 mins

    England 22-7 Samoa

England carry well upfield from the restart and earn the penalty for Samoa collapsing the maul.

George Ford and Chris Robshaw, the co-captains, have a pow wow in midfield and the decision is the corner.

England are going for broke before the break.

Itoje plucks the ball out of the skies, but Samoa turn over the ball before a feeble knock-on. England with the momentum again...

  18. try

Converted try - Scotland 29-17 Australiapublished at 49 mins

    Jonny Gray (con Russell)

    Oh, Jonny Gray!

The Scotland lock sneaks in like a thief in the night.

The move comes after some brilliant leg work from front row replacement Jamie Bhatti and Gray goes over under the posts.

    Russell converts this time.

  19. Maitland finishespublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Scotland 22-17 Australia

    Andy Robinson
Former England and Scotland head coach on BBC One

So sloppy from Australia. But one person you want with ball in hand is Sean Maitland. He's so quick and finishes it so well in the corner. Mistake after mistake and then he drives past the forwards to score. Good retaliation there from Scotland.

  20. try

Try - Scotland 22-17 Australiapublished at 45 mins

    Sean Maitland

    MORE UNADULTERATED CHAOS.

Both sides make ridiculous mistakes in the centre of the field and all of a sudden Sean Maitland pops up and just runs.

Think Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump. Upright back, completely straight line.

He's over in the corner but no conversion.
