    Scotland 17-17 Australia

    Chris Paterson
Former Scotland international on BBC One

It's similar to Australia's first try as it comes after 20 phases. There's still a lot for Kurtley Beale to do but he's a world class player who's so hard to stop five metres out. Scotland have come out sluggishly and they need to freshen up quickly.

    Charlie Ewels, con George Ford

    And they're over.

Charlie Ewels, who made his debut against Fiji a year ago, drives low and hard to cross the whitewash.

Danny Care has been superb so far this afternoon. His pass misses out Maro Itoje, who draws the runners, and hits Ewels at pace.

Joe Launchbury trudges off though, looks to be a shoulder injury.

    England 15-7 Samoa

Danny Care is scampering off once again but he's hauled back by referee Andrew Brace.

An excellent scrum from England destroys the Samoa pack and Care takes a quick pen.

Too quick though, and not from the correct point. A shame, he was off.

Some nice play in the centres between Alex Lozowski and Henry Slade gets England to within a few metres of the line.

Care takes a quick tap from another penalty and England are threatening...

    Yes they can!

Kurtley Beale squeezes through after another 20-phase build-up.

An awful kick from Bernard Foley leaves us level.

Australia make the first threat forward.

Samu Kerevi dances into gaps, as the 14-man Wallabies go out wide.

We're up to 16 phases as Scott Sio is wrestled to the ground by Scotland captain John Barclay.

    Can they make it over?

Bernard Foley's kick gets us back under way in this thoroughly enjoyable match at Murrayfield.

    England 15-7 Samoa

Samoa are giving it a real go here and they're finding plenty of space against this England side.

They're back on their feet after a shaky start. A solid scrum sets the platform as Tim Nanai-Williams fizzes a pass out to David Lemi on the wing.

They're up to the halfway line now as Nanai-Williams' kick is charged down by Jamie George.

The Samoa fly-half has been much better with ball in hand so far. His kicking leaves a lot to be desired.

I can't help admiring the footwork of England loose-head Ellis Genge. He's able to manipulate defenders so well for such a powerhouse. Great athletic ability.

  15. A quick England can dominatepublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    England 15-7 Samoa

    Paul Grayson
Former Lions and England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

The longer the ball is in play with England keeping it alive, Samoa are going to get tired. A tight England are going to dominate and every time they choose to turn the screw, I'd expect them to take advantage...even if they are going to take some big hits in the process.

  16. Penalty - England 15-7 Samoapublished at 19 mins

    George Ford

There's a loose feel to this game, and England opt to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

George Ford, who took a big hit in that period of play, slots a nice conversion to give his side an eight-point lead.

    England 12-7 Samoa

What a frantic start at Twickenham - crazy rugby at both ends of the United Kingdom this afternoon.

Jonny May throws the line-out to himself and sets off an a mazy run off his wing and England are into the Samoa half. Pure skill.

England are flinging this ball around like it's a hot cake, and Samoa are lining up the hits.

Bodies everywhere, and we're coming back for a penalty. Phew.

  18. 'A crazy two minutes'published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2017

    Scotland 17-12 Samoa

    Andy Nicol
Former Scotland international on BBC One

The red card is probably going to be the critical moment and there was no question that it had to be a sending off. It will have a massive impact in the second half.

Scotland's ambition was there from the start but maybe got complacent and allowed Australia back in. It was great that Scotland immediately exploited the advantage and got back in front.

  19. try

Converted try - England 12-7 Samoapublished at 13 mins

    Piula Fa'asalele, con Nanai-Williams

    And they're over.

Samoa are a hard team to stop from five-metres out.

Piula Fa'asalele gives a nice offload to hooker Motu Matu'u before getting the ball back and powering over the line.

Samoa are right back in this game after a terrible start.

    England 12-0 Samoa

But Samoa almost have an instant reply.

Lock Charlie Ewels makes a complete mess of the restart and it enables TJ Ioane to get within a metre of the line.

England just switched off there, Eddie Jones will be fuming.
