Anonymous, via text: To be honest, until these fixtures are competitive they are frankly a waste of time - the Wales girls are part-timers and until this season the England team are full time professionals.

Unless you have an even playing field, let's not even bother stating they are competitive. I'm afraid Women's rugby is stuck in the 19th century - England blowing everyone away because of their financial superiority and the RFU position on introducing a 12-team top tier competition for the women is going to further enshrine the competitive advantage they have. The Pro 14 teams need to get their fingers out and introduce a parallel women's league asap.

England have played well but Wales have made basic, unforced errors. You can't afford to do that against teams like England. They are missing a few players through injury but so are England and their players are stepping up to the mark.

And back on the pitch at the Stoop, England are camped on the Wales line.

Prop Sarah Bern is over the line but there are red shirts under that body. Three Wales players prevent Bern from scoring England's sixth.

But you feel it's just a matter of time...

After that sour news, I need something to cheer me up.

How about Harry and some unicorns? The Prince is certainly enjoying his afternoon at the Stoop.

Some worrying news for the Welsh public, and not from this game.

Reports are that Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny is out of the clash against England at Twickenham this afternoon.

A foot infection apparently, which has caused severe swelling. Presumably that means Gareth Anscombe will come into the starting line-up.

Is that a disaster Wales fans?

England prop Sarah Bern is out into clear space yet again. She's been phenomenal in the open field so far this afternoon.

But Wales cover the move and eventually shepherd the white shirts into touch.

A line-out to come, and they've been dodgy, very dodgy. But that's a win for Wales. Clean ball and they set up a drive of their own to take them into the English half.

There were glimmers of good handling from Wales in that first half and that was a strong and driving maul just then to get them up the field and keep possession. Some positive signs but England were too strong and got the ball back.

England beat Wales 63-0 away from home in the 2017 edition of the Six Nations.

Wales will be keen to narrow that margin of defeat today, but England are completely dominant at the breakdown.

That's another bit hit from Rachael Burford and Marlie Packer is in quickly to secure the turnover. She seems to have lost her number, but that snaffle was trademark Packer.

We're back under way at Twickenham Stoop. England dominated all areas of the pitch in the first half, but can Wales find a way onto the scoreboard?

England will be relatively happy with that half. They're playing well but Wales have really struggled.

They may need to put a couple more players into the collision to secure possession and they need to sort their line-outs at half-time because they keep giving it away. They've barely got into the England 22 so far.

A really big moment before the break. Wales, under the cosh, repel England's driving maul.

The referee screams "USE IT", England ignore, and Wales come away with the penalty. It could have been curtains for Wales there.

But another disastrous Wales line-out means England take the clock into red with ball in hand.

The white shirts are lining up outside, but it's not to be. Danielle Waterman can't collect the pass and that's the end of that. A terrible error from Rachael Burford.

Still, England have the bonus point, and we'll trot off for a break.

Yes, a light drizzle has started to come down at the Stoop. It's affecting the handling in this game now, and it's probably not good news for the match at Twickenham this afternoon.

I hope the running rugby we've been promised won't be compromised...

Wales have some serious defending to do here, they've got a scrum right under the posts.

Relief for the women in red. They get the penalty, but Robyn Wilkins fails to find touch. Wales have to cut out these simple errors in the second half if they're to get any possession and a foothold in this match.

England run it back but then they get over-excited and it's all a bit loose. Perhaps my challenge of two tries before the break was a jinx.

Some really lovely play from England. Wales are struggling to retain possession because the England backs have kept turning it over. Ellie Kildunne just glided through the Wales defence there to score an elegant try. It was so smooth she looked as though she wasn't even trying.
