  1. Replacementspublished at 35 mins

    England 5-14 Ireland

Anthony Watson hurt his shoulder in the build-up to that England try. He is aboard the cart and off the pitch. Mike Brown is on in his place.

Will that give England a little more security under the high ball?

Ireland - still a man down with Peter O'Mahony in the bin - have brought on Joey Carbery at 10 while Johnny Sexton goes through a head injury assessment.

A little big of magic from Owen Farrell. A little nudge kick into the dead-ball area and Elliot Daly is an excellent finisher. I love the fact England are now a little bit angry and have used it in the right areas there. Ireland look a bit more controlled when they've got possession but there's no doubt England have the quality to get points in this game.

Try - England 5-14 Irelandpublished at 32 mins

    Elliot Daly

    Delicious from Owen Farrell....

With a penalty advantage his back pocket, the England fly-half has a free shot at the high-risk play.

He nails it anyway with a lovely deft crossfield grubber for Elliot Daly to gather and dive over.

Farrell screws the conversion wide from well wide though.

  4. Postpublished at 31 mins

    England 0-14 Ireland

England are knocking on the door. Five out. Maro Itoje and Mako Vunipola are repelled.

    This feels crucial...

  5. 'Need emotion'published at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    England 0-14 Ireland

    Paul Grayson
Former Lions and England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 live

England need to play with some emotion. Their attack is standing still and Ireland are running at them. They shouldn't be ashamed of having a 12-man maul if that's what it takes. As it is, Ireland are getting their sets right and England have a mountain to climb.

  6. Postpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    England 0-14 Ireland

Ireland's try-scorer CJ Stander has already made eight carries this afternoon and has a try to show for it. He's leading his side on that front.

But it's centre Bundee Aki who's accumulated 35 metres, beaten two defenders and made one crisp, clean break for Stander's try.

England, meanwhile, have only beaten one defender in total.

  7. Postpublished at 30 mins

    England 0-14 Ireland

Groans around Twickenham as yet again the hosts squander some prize territory.

Dylan Hartley goes for Chris Robshaw - his back jumper - and over-cooks his throw.

The Online Chameleon: I’m enjoying the England v Ireland game. My wife said she’d kiss me every time Ireland score. I fear she’ll get a bit fed up with doing so though soon

Steve MacPherson: Please England, no. I have to face people tomorrow!

  9. Sin-bin - Ireland's Peter O'Mahonypublished at 29 mins

    England 0-14 Ireland

Peter O'Mahony slams the handbrake on England's driving maul, dragging it south illegally.

That is an easy yellow card for the ref.

It could have been a penalty try considering England's momentum.

Instead Owen Farrell puts the ball back in the corner for another line-out....

  10. Postpublished at 28 mins

    England 0-14 Ireland

England with the line-out five out.

Safely gathered and this time the driving maul is moving tryline-wards...

Harry Shotton: Has to be at least a yellow for a deliberate shoulder to the head. Shocking decision.

Chris H: Identical to Sonny Bill Williams vs Lions. Should be red

Plenty of people agreeing with Matt Dawson.

  12. 'Decision was a shambles'published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    England 0-14 Ireland

    Matt Dawson

I have to vehemently disagree with the referee's decision there. Bundee Aki has clashed straight into Elliot Daly's head there with his shoulder. That's verging on a red card decision and simply has to be a yellow card minimum. An absolute shambles from the officials there.

  13. No card for Akipublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    England 0-14 Ireland

The Twickenham crowd don't like that.

Angus Gardner decides it was head-to-head rather than shoulder-to-head. I thought it was more the latter.

It only merits a penalty apparently. Start the debate...

    England 0-14 Ireland

    Now then.

Bundee Aki has come in to tackle Elliot Daly without much attempt to wrap his arms.

His shoulder seems to make contact with Daly's head.

It is like a cut-price Sonny Bill Williams on Anthony Watson from the summer - less pace and intent, but it did not look good.

The video official is taking a look.

    England 0-14 Ireland

    Matt Dawson
Former Lions and England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live

Tremendous play from Tadhg Furlong and fabulous sleight of hand to slip in Aki. He raced through and then all the momentum was with CJ Stander as Richard Wrigglesworth desperately tried to pull him back. Great try from Ireland.

  17. try

Converted try - England 0-14 Irelandpublished at 23 mins

    CJ Stander (con Sexton)

It was all set up be a brilliantly intricate bit of interplay between Johnny Sexton and Conor Murray, the old run-around play with a host of added dummies and feints.

The conversion is a gimme for Sexton and England are right up against it.

Even this far out, Ireland can sniff the stable and a third Grand Slam.

  18. Try reviewpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2018

    England 0-7 Ireland

CJ Stander skids into the base of the post protector and that should surely be good enough after a break from Bundee Aki.

Angus Gardner is reviewing, but this looks like a seven-pointer all day....
