England have brought Exeter flanker Don Armand on for his Six Nations debut.

Ireland hook Johnny Sexton. Ever the competitor, he shakes his head as Joey Carbery comes on for the final quarter of an hour.

Huge difference for England now George Ford is on. On that occasion, it was two on two. A beautiful little left-handed pass from Mike Brown and Elliot Daly was in for his second try. Ford offers something difference, a slickness in possession and who knows what will happen now with a quarter of an hour left?

The Twickenham tannoy fires up a little bit of Blur's Song Two.

It is all surely too little too late though.

George Ford and Owen Farrell resurrect England's second-wave attack, droppping the ball off and slinging wide.

Elliot Daly has a glimmer of space outside Keith Earls and that is all he needs for his and England's second score.

Farrell is off target with his conversion shot.

CJ Stander has made a mammoth 19 carries for Ireland this afternoon, with fellow forward Tadhg Furlong in second place with 12. Lock James Ryan also makes it into double figures with 10.

The two British and Irish Lions, Stander and Furlong, have showed their class against many of their Lions team-mates, as Ireland head towards the Grand Slam.

Elliot Daly mano-a-mano against Keith Earls out wide.

The England wing opts for a little kick and chase rather than trying his man for pace on the outside.

That is the wrong call. Earls reads his intention and gets off to a flying start in the foot race, dotting down to give Ireland a 22m drop out.

    Dennis Hickie
Former Irish wing Dennis Hickie on BBC Radio 5 live

It's a bit surreal watching this today. Ireland have only beaten France and England in the same campaign twice away from home. Doing that has eluded them so many times over the years. I don't think anybody would have expected this to be anything other than a complete nailbiter throughout. But now they're 19 points up.

Ireland point to the sticks and it is Conor Murray, rather than regular kicker Johnny Sexton, who is going to line it up...

Garry Ringrose tries to barge up around the fringe.

    Not quite.

We go back for a penalty for Jamie George not rolling away.

Kick the points or go for the bonus-point cherry on the top?

Chris H: Thing is, come November 2019 in Yokohama when Dylan Hartley is lifting the Webb Ellis trophy aloft, we'll look back on the last month and laugh.

John McEnerney: Ireland schooling England in every area of the game in their own backyard!

Andrew Simms: Every borderline decision this year has gone to England's opposition. Refs are poor but England aren't good enough to overcome it.

    England 5-21 Ireland

    Matt Dawson
Former Lions and England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live

There's nothing majorly gone wrong with England but it is significant that teams have found out how they play now. Other teams know that England are not going to vary their play so they can be pressed in defence really hard. Before, they tried one of their Eddie Jones' signature moves, Ireland anticipated it and smashed through to cut it out.

Bundee Aki is off and he won't be coming back. He copped a big head knock and looked like was momentarily concussed after his attempted tackle on Jonathan Joseph.

Ere comes the hot-stepper. Jordan Larmour is on in his place in the centres.

England have made a change as well. Joseph has headed off with George Ford on at fly-half and Farrell and Ben Teo shifting out a slot.

England are back down under their own posts.

Owen Farrell tries an alternative exit strategy, opting to kick to the opposite flank.

Keith Earls scrambles across to grab the ball.

But we are going to stop the play for a serious injury to Bundee Aki...

Joe Wilkinson: England rugby team consistently brilliant, zero success from England Football team. England rugby team playing like they've never seen each other before - surely that means the football team will be Champions in Russia. Surely.
