    Christian Wade flies high and takes Chiefs' box kick however Wasps' next breakdown is a messy one as Luke Cowan-Dickie makes a nuisance of himself.

    Off the next phase a shrill blast of JP Doyle's whistle indicates a very nasty leg injury to Alex Rieder. That's a great shame for the man that has just come back from a lengthy period out of the game.

    It's been a very costly five minutes for Wasps because Marcus Watson is now forced off the field with what looks to be an ankle injury.

    The former sevens man is replaced by Christian Wade who will be eager to get involved in this contest.

    Dai Young also decides that it's time to change his props... Matt Mullan and Jake Cooper-Woolley are now on.

    From the five-metre scrum Jimmy Gopperth gets a little isolated in the middle of the park and Marcus Watson decides to cut back over to the right-hand side of the park.

    Luke Cowan-Dickie is penalised for going offisde and Gopperth duly knocks over three points.

    Wasps are forced into another change as Jack Willis has taken a nasty blow to his shoulder and he leaves the field in some discomfort.

    The man to replace the flanker is Alex Rieder who is returning from a dislocated shoulder of his own.

    An error at the scrum from Exeter sees them hand the put in back to Wasps.

    Dan Robson, clearly not feeling the effects of that knock in the first half, races through and the move continues with purpose before Brendan Macken is held up over the line.

    Grudgingly Danny Cipriani is forced to leave the field and once again Brendan Macken takes to the stage.

    A few changes to tell you about...

    Alec Hepburn and Tomas Francis are leaving the field for Exeter and being replaced by Ben Moon and Greg Holmes.

    There's concern for the home side as Danny Cipriani is receiving a spot of treatment. It looks like his Achilles that's causing him a spot of bother and he's not a happy man.

    Exeter exit with the ball in hand but a tremendous turnover from Jack Willis halts them.

    Again it's Guy Thompson who is busting through the first defender and making key metres. His scrum-half then puts a little dink through for Marcus Watson but it flies out and into touch.

    Charge-downs are commonplace in rugby however not normally from the referee!

    JP Doyle finds himself in the way as the Chiefs box-kick and he halts play to restart with an Exeter scrum.

    He might even be tempted to show himself a yellow card for that indiscretion....

    Exeter are now going through the phases this time.

    They're up to 18, however they leave the ball behind at the breakdown and Jimmy Gopperth pounces.

    The fly-half leathers the ball up-field and Santiago Cordero is put under huge pressure to deal with it.

    Rob Baxter's Exeter Chiefs get the game started once again.

    Immediately Wasps look to burst out of their own half through Guy Thompson who is certainly impressing with his carrying today. Thompson, of course, will be a Leicester Tiger next season.

    This man's been in the thick of it for the hosts in that first half.

    This game may have only delivered one try however it's been a rip-roaring 40 minutes that has been played at quite the pace!

    Marcus Watson's finish out wide after just 13 minutes, and the conversion from Danny Cipriani, separates the two.

    It's always the right decision to turn down the kick at goal when it comes off however Julian Salvi strikes again. On the stroke of half-time that's an opportunity missed for the home side.

    Exeter overthrow the ball off their line-out and Wasps move up once again... Dai Young's side gain a kick-able penalty but turn down the opportunity for points and go for the corner.

    Dan Robson looks like he's struggling with his earlier knock but Wasps are continuing to try and find a break through.

    They can't and instead it's excellent breakdown work from Julian Salvi and that gains a valuable turnover and penalty. As play halts Simon McIntyre returns having passed his HIA assessment.
