His line is direct and hit at real speed but Dan Robson puts his body on the line. He stops the centre and gains the turnover.

Will Chudley makes a superb break down the short side but he's halted by Willie Le Roux.

The Chiefs continue their move at pace and Dave Ewers surges across the line however there's a pile of bodies all around him.

Danny Cipriani is the man to get underneath the ball and his work prevents a certain try.

    Wasps 7-0 Exeter

Before Wasps set up their line-out Simon McIntyre leaves the field for a HIA assessment and his place is taken by the hugely experienced Matt Mullan.

The line-out is secure, but Dan Robson's box kick isn't a lengthy one and that hands possession back to the Chiefs on the half-way line... can they make some of this time with the ball in hand count on the board?

Exeter are up to 11 phases but finding it tough going to penetrate through the sea of defenders in black shirts.. don't forget they're trying to find these holes with 14 men on the field after Jonny Hill's yellow card.

A bit of a bullet ball to Julian Salvi causes him to knock-on and it will be a Wasps scrum.

    Phew!!!

We know that both sides love to play with ball in hand and despite having just 14 men on the field Exeter Chiefs go coast-to-coast and from 22 to 22...

Will Chudley and Lachie Turner are full of pace and pizzazz however another huge turnover from Thomas Young gets Wasps out of jail just shy of the line.

In the build up to the try Jonny Hill puts in a considerable hit on Willie Le Roux.

However it's late, and he lifts the full-back's legs over the horizontal, so the lock is sent from the field for a ten-minute breather.

Wasps gain the scrum against the head and, after a slightly messy breakdown, Wille Le Roux sets up his winger for the score.

The full-back's pass wide gives the former England Sevens man an easy finish for someone of his calibre.

There was a hint of the knock-on at the breakdown but that wasn't spotted by JP Doyle. Danny Cipriani just about has enough of a boot on that to add the extras from wide out right.

As Wasps move back into the red zone once again they prove that they've learnt from their mistakes as this lineout finds the mark.

However, this time their maul is disrupted and JP Doyle blows for the turnover. Scrum time once again!

    What. A. Steal.

Wasps' lineout is in a perfect attacking position, just five metres from the line, however Jonny Hill reads it like a book.

This time it's Exeter who are pinged at the scrum. It's just a free-kick for an early shove but Danny Cipriani gladly clears Wasps' lines.

Once again Exeter are keeping the ball in hand well. Luke Cowan-Dickie bursts through the defensive line breaking the tackle of James Gaskell.

He finds Lachie Turner on his shoulder who gets to within five metres of the line.

The forwards set up their power game but a Thomas Young forces Don Armand to knock-on, that's a great first attack from the Chiefs which will please their director of rugby Rob Baxter in the stands.

The Chiefs are up to 11 phases off the kick-off, clearly preferring to get some early time with the ball in hand as opposed to kicking it long and handing it back to their hosts.
