Converted try - Australia 7-0 Irelandpublished at 2 min

    Kurtley Beale, con Bernard Foley

Brilliant from Australia. What a start.

It's bang, bang, bang through the phases before Bernard Foley pops a delightful inside pass to Kurtley Beale.

The running line from Beale is even better than the pass and the Ireland players can't get near the centre. He cuts through the defence like a knife through butter and jogs over.

    Foley adds the extras.

Bernard Foley gets the match under way with a short dink kick and the catch is missed by the Irish.

Devin Toner gets a fingertip on it but the ball bumps out for an Aussie line-out.

    Not the best start.

    Here we go.

The Grand Slam winners in a must-win match against the Aussies in Melbourne. This should be fun.

The Irish players look up for this and they're getting plenty of support from those in green in the stands.

John McEnerney: Sexton back at 10 we’ll match the intensity Aus will bring 2 the table unlike last week when we were off the pace. The best 9 & 10 partnership in the NH will show the SH what they’re all about. Ireland’s Big Game Players will step up today & make amends 4 last week

This is where the game is being played in Melbourne.

There have been a few showers around today which may well mean a slippery surface.

    Will that favour Ireland?

Kyle: Great to see Sexton back. I expect to see a stronger performance from both sides. I think Ireland will edge it and take this series to a decider. Hopefully it will be a better day for the sides from the northern hemisphere.

Last week's matches saw a switch around in the world rankings with New Zealand still leading the way, Ireland still second but Australia up to third and England down to fourth.

Eddie Jones' side could drop even further if they lose today.

What do you think about those rankings? Are they a fair reflection? Is this Ireland team today one rightly classed as the second best in the world?

And what about England? Is fourth about right following their recent slump or do they still have credit in the bank?

    Australia v Ireland (11:00 BST)

The defeat for Ireland last week ended a winning run which stretched way back to March 2017 and gave Australia a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

In a tight but entertaining match, Australia's David Pocock stood out at the breakdown and in attack, scoring one of the games two tries while the other came from Aussie fly-half Bernard Foley.

Ireland looked uncertain at times but today's XV looks much more like a full strength Irish team...
