    Bath 14-21 Gloucester

Bath decide that it's time to change their props so Jacques van Rooyen and Anthony Perenise arrive with Nathan Catt and Henry Thomas departing.

For Gloucester, Ruan Ackermann's day is done and Jake Polledri takes his place in their back row.

    Bath 14-21 Gloucester

Solid midfield defence from Gloucester forces a knock-on and the scrums take a little bit of time to set correctly. Eventually, the front three perform adequately according to referee Luke Pearce, and Gloucester progress up onto the 22.

After hard ball-carrying from Gloucester's forwards, Jason Woodward knocks-on and it's scrum time once again.

    Bath 14-21 Gloucester

Ooooohhhhh! So close on the left for Bath, it's another superb wide ball from Freddie Burns but Henry Thomas just can't make the final metres and instead he's bundled into touch.

This time Gloucester's lineout is safe as houses and they exit quickly through Callum Braley's box-kick.

    Tom Dunn, con Freddie Burns

Tom Dunn gladly pounces on a overthrown lineout from Gloucester and the powerful front-rower can't be stopped.

Freddie Burns adds the conversion and although it's early days in this half, the home side look like a different outfit. They've got the wind in their sails and their confidence is building by the second.

    Bath 7-21 Gloucester

Both sides are back out on the park and a fire in the burger van just outside the stands at the Recreation Ground has now been put out!

We're ready to get this derby back under way, which team will be turning up the heat (sorry, it had to be done) in the second 40 minutes?

    FT: Saracens 44-23 Bristol

Bristol are looking to make a statement, they got the victory last week then going to Saracens to ask themselves let's see how good we are?

They were doing very until the red card but they were always going to lose this game.

Wasps boss Dai Young says England flanker Brad Shields has gone to hospital after suffering a "pretty nasty" cheekbone injury in the defeat by Exeter Chiefs.

Shields, who won two caps for England against South Africa in June, was making his Wasps debut, and is now an early doubt for the autumn internationals.

"He's gone away to hospital to have it checked," Young told BBC Radio 5 live. "It looked like a pretty nasty injury."

  8. 'Bath's try was crucial'published at 17:23 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

    HT: Bath 7-21 Gloucester

    Jeremy Guscott
Ex-England centre on BBC Radio 5 live

That Bath try was crucial, if they didn't score that then there was no way they were coming back, particularly the way they were playing.

  9. Half-time: Bath 7-21 Gloucesterpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

It's a derby that contains all of the intensity and physicality that you'd expect but it hasn't been the closest of contests.

Gloucester confidently controlled proceedings with Danny Cipriani pulling all of the strings. A brace from Ruan Ackermann, a try from Callum Braley and the boot of Billy Twelvetrees pushed them into a 21-0 lead.

But, Bath made sure that went into the sheds with seven points to their name after Freddie Burns' released Semesa Rokoduguni out wide.

Try: Bath 7-21 Gloucesterpublished at 38 mins

    Semesa Rokoduguni, con Freddie Burns

It's a solid scrum from Bath and Freddie Burns floats a ball out wide beautifully to Semesa Rokoduguni.

The winger has a simple run-in and Burns nails the conversion before referee Luke Pearce signals the end of the half.

    Bath 0-21 Gloucester

The home side turn down a kick-able penalty, as you'd expect being 21 points down, and instead go for the corner.

They put together 10 phases and the forwards decide to keep it tight. A penalty arrives for offside, still Bath plug away before Jamie Roberts makes a simple knock-on.

The advantage was still being played though and Bath decide to go for the scrum.

    Callum Braley, con Billy Twelvetrees

Callum Braley is the man to cross next for Gloucester. After a huge breakdown clearout from Billy Twelvetrees, yes we said Twelvetrees, the scrum-half charges his way through and stretches out to dot the ball down.

It's an easy conversion from in front of the posts and Gloucester are pulling all of the strings right now. Will Bath's response arrive soon?

    Bath 0-14 Gloucester

Dave Attwood's frustrations boil over and referee Luke Pearce decides to reverse a penalty due to him provoking a retaliation.

Originally Bath had the chance to kick through and push for their first points. Instead, Gloucester clear their lines and then Danny Cipriani adds more metres off a second penalty due to Taulupe Faletau's work at the breakdown.

  14. try

Try: Bath 0-14 Gloucesterpublished at 25 mins

    Ruan Ackermann, con Billy Twelvetrees

Danny Cipriani has only just returned from his HIA and he has just set-up Ruan Ackermann for his second try of the day.

Cipriani takes the ball extremely flat to the line and then pops it away to Ackermann. The flanker then gladly charges into the wide open space that's in front of him and has the power to finish the job.

Billy Twelvetrees adds the conversion and this is looking very rosy for Gloucester right now.

  15. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Bath 0-7 Gloucester

Bath are forced into an early change - Matt Garvey leaves the field after injuring himself from a (legal) double tackle at the hands Mariano Galarza and Ed Slater.

Danny Cipriani is waiting on the sidelines to come back on and it looks like he has successfully passed his HIA assessment. If that's the case then it will be music to all Cherry and White ears.

  16. Full-time: Leicester 49-33 Newcastlepublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

The Geordan Murphy era begins with a free-scoring victory for Leicester, who win 49-33 against Newcastle.

It was a bit like Leicester old boys day at Welford Road, as Falcons - coached by Dean Richards and possessing Vereniki Goneva, Toby Flood and Logovi'i Mulipola in their squad - arrived in town.

However, it was certainly the Tigers day as five first-half tries, including one in a 29-point haul from George Ford, steered them to victory.

  17. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Bath 0-7 Gloucester

    So. Close.

Freddie Burns decides that it's time to look for another route to the line and his crossfield kick almost finds an onrushing Joe Cokanasiga. Alas for the home fans the winger knocks-on in goal but that may well be a fruitful route to the line at some point.

  18. Full-time: Saracens 44-23 Bristolpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

All over at Allianz Park and it's two wins out of two for the champions.

Billy Vunipola's try on his return and the hat-trick for Liam Williams will get the headlines, but Bristol were very much in the game until George Smith's red card.

  19. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Bath 0-7 Gloucester

Gloucester are pinged for straying offside and Freddie Burns puts the ensuing penalty kick deep into the corner.

Bath win the lineout through Matt Garvey before Jamie Roberts and Sam Underhill both put in excellent carries. Gloucester are doing well to keep their hosts pinned on the 22-metre line... for now.

  20. try

And there's a hat-trick for Liam Williams as he claim Owen Farrell's cross-kick and touches down.
