Try: Leicester 40-26 Newcastlepublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

    Mark Wilson, con Toby Flood

Well, well, well! That's the try bonus point and Mark Wilson might want to inherit the nickname 'The Poacher' because that's three in two for him.

He blasted through a ruck to score against Saracens last time out, and this time comes through the maul, like a chick hatching from an egg, to rumble across.

    Game on.

  6. try

Try: Saracens 18-18 Bristol Bearspublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

    Alex Lewington

Alex Lewington is certainly enjoying being part of this Saracens' back-line. After a brace off the bench in Round 1 he makes the most of Alex Goode's pintpoint pass.

The conversion misses and there's a spot other news to bring you too.... Billy Vunipola is back! It's first rugby outing since breaking his arm with England in June and he replaces Sione Vailanu.

  10. Half-time: Leicester 40-19 Newcastlepublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

Here's the image of the half from a Leicester perspective... Manu Tuilagi being swarmed by his team-mates after he showed outstanding pace to score one of their five tries.

What a response it has been following that Round 1 defeat to Exeter Chiefs and the turbulent week that they have had with Matt O'Connor's departure.

Try: Leicester 40-19 Newcastlepublished at 15:49

    Jonny May

As far as responses go to a Round 1 demolition, you couldn't have asked for much more than this. Jonny May caps Leicester's first 40 minutes at home with a fifth try as he makes the most of excellent handling from George Ford and full-back Telusa Veainu.

    FT: Wasps 31-42 Exeter

Massive win for Exeter, who show the class they possess with a six-try victory against a Wasps side who were well in the mix throughout.

Two tries apiece for Sam Simmonds and Henry Slade, added to by Santiago Cordero and Don Armond, secure the try bonus point as well.

Wasps will lick their wounds, they were within a second of a bonus point, but Armond's late finish punishes them. Dai Young's side had opportunities to put points on Exeter but didn't always take them.

At the end of the day though, this was a wonderful exhibition of Premiership rugby union - what a way to get us underway on this Saturday of sport.

  13. Half-time: Saracens 13-18 Bristol Bearspublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

Bristol Bears, well they means business. The visitors absorbed some considerable periods of pressure in that first half and had the whereabouts to make the most of the final moments a snatch the lead at the break.

One big half on the way, can they keep it tense and tight and pull off a monster victory or will Mark McCall's side step through the gears?

TWENTY-TWO phases. Finished off by Don Armand. Bonus point snatched away from Wasps.

    Wasps 31-35 Exeter

Exeter grinding down the clock, frustrating Wasps, and some lovely sneakery at the line-out saw Don Armond rob Joe Launchbury of well-earned ball.

    Is that game over?

Drama, drama, drama to finish the half.

Bristol Bears are given one more shot due to a knock-on from Sione Vailanu and they make the absolute most of it. Alapati Leiua's finish on the far left is an acrobatic one, it's checked by the TMO, and his brace is given.

Callum Sheedy's conversion attempt just fades away in the wind but it's the Bears with the advantage at the break in North London.

  17. Penalty: Saracens 13-13 Bristol Bearspublished at 15:44

    Owen Farrell

    Cool, calm and collected.

A short and sweet summary of Owen Farrell and he levels this encounter as half-time approaches.

  18. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Wasps 31-35 Exeter

Wasps win a box-kick back against the grain... then work it wide to the right where they have huge numbers.

Elliot Daly has a dig down the right, recycled and then a knock-on brings the move to a shuddering halt.

When you play that kind of high-risk, fast pace rugby, you're bound to commit errors.

But that's what makes Wasps such a good team to watch. Exeter are masters of keep-ball. It'll suit them to do so right now.

They'll get a scrum penalty which will certainly help.

    Vereniki Goneva

Vereniki Goneva has a one-on-one challenge with Telusa Veainu on the far right-hand touchline and the Falcon wins the battle. The field position was created by the visitors kicking deep into the corner off a penalty and securing the line-out well.

Goneva's fend shrugs off Veainu's attentions and the former Tiger has his second of the match.

  20. Penalty: Leicester Tigers 35-14 Newcastle Falconspublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 8 September 2018

    George Ford

When Matthew Carley pings the Falcons for straying off-side at the ruck, George Ford steps up once again.

He's striking the ball extremely well and as Rob Vickerman mentioned earlier is one of the senior players taking command.
