  1. 'Lyon will throw everything at it'published at 12:56 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Lyon v Glasgow Warriors (13:00)

Glasgow Warriors head coach Dave Rennie speaking on BBC Radio Scotland: “Lyon are a good side. Losing a couple of games puts them under a little bit of pressure but looking at the side they’ve picked they’re still giving themselves a hope and they’ll throw everything at it today.

"They're certainly one of the more flamboyant teams in France, they’re prepared to throw the ball around. They’ve got some very good athletes so we’re going to have to look after the ball and defend well.

“We’ve been very clinical lately. We’ve scored 20 tries in our last five outings. We’re very well conditioned, we want to make the most of that and we can do that by holding onto ball.

"We want to build on what we’ve achieved in these last few weeks.”

Glasgow have been up and down in Europe over the last few years and they want to make a mark. If they can transfer their recent form in the Pro14 into Europe then they have a great chance of progressing.

    Lyon v Glasgow Warriors (13:00)

Lyon currently sit fourth in the French Top 14 with six wins from their 11 league matches this season.

The veteran French international Lionel Beauxis will pull the strings for the home side at number 10. Scotland fans may remember him lining up at Murrayfield in the Six Nations after answering a call from Les Bleus after a six-year absence from the national team.

Dave Rennie recalls 11 Scotland internationals to his squad after the autumn internationals, with the likes of Stuart Hogg, Tommy Seymour and Fraser Brown restored to the side.

    Lyon v Glasgow Warriors (13:00)

With the other match in Pool 3 not taking place until tomorrow, Glasgow have a chance to move to the top of the group with victory today.

Saracens take on Cardiff at Allianz Park on Sunday and if, as expected, they take care of the Welsh side they will be a long way down the road to sealing a place in the quarter-finals.

  6. Warriors look to stay in the huntpublished at 12:42 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Lyon v Glasgow Warriors (13:00)

Having followed up an opening day defeat to Saracens with an excellent bonus-point away win at Cardiff, Glasgow Warriors will be targeting back-to-back victories over Lyon to remain in the hunt in Champions Cup Pool 3.

European Cup victories on French soil are not easy to come by, but Lyon have failed to collect any points from their opening two matches and may just be there for the taking with their hopes of progressing hanging by a thread.
