  1. Thank-you and goodbye for nowpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    FT: Glasgow 21-10 Lyon

We'll have some reaction from Glasgow head coach Dave Rennie on the website shortly, but we'll end our live coverage there.

Our live rugby coverage continues tomorrow with a pivotal fixture in Pool Five, as Edinburgh aim to maintain their own qualification hopes at Newcastle.

Thanks for your company today. Until the next time...

  2. Glasgow keep hopes alivepublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    FT: Glasgow 21-10 Saacens

If it wasn't the bonus-point win they'd targeted, victory keeps Glasgow tucked in behind pool leaders Saracens.

Warriors' final two games - in January - are at home to Cardiff Blues, and away at Sarries on the final day.

You imagine they'll probably need at least five points to have a chance of claiming one of the three best runners-up spots.

  3. 'The winner is the conditions'published at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Glasgow 21-10 Lyon

    Colin Gregor
Former Scotland Sevens captain on BBC Radio Scotland

That action is generous given what's gone on today, I think the winner is the conditions.

  4. Full-time - Glasgow 21-10 Lyonpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

Referee Ben Whitehouse decides enough is enough. The conditions have been atrocious and not at all conducive to attacking rugby.

In the circumstances, a solid win is probably not a bad outcome for Glasgow.

Adam Hastings tries to launch a counter-attack out on the right flank, but his attempted offload to Stuart Hogg falls into touch.

  6. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Glasgow 21-10 Lyon

Frustratingly for the hosts, it's Lyon who are hogging the ball as we enter the lat couple of minutes.

It looks like Glasgow will have to settle for four points here.

    Glasgow 21-10 Lyon

Saracens, incidentally, have won 26-14 at Cardiff Blues, but without a bonus point.

So the group will be 'as you were' if it stays like this at Scotstoun.

  8. 'It had to be red'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Glasgow 21-10 Lyon

    Chris Paterson
Former Scotland international on BBC Radio Scotland

It was right to be red, it had to be red because it's a second reaction and nothing to do with the charge-down. It's premeditated, bringing his left arm into play and it caught Adam Hastings in the head.

  9. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Glasgow 21-10 Lyon

Can Glasgow capitalize on the extra man and plunder a couple of tries in these last final eight minutes or so?

Lyon have got a driving maul from a line-out rumbling here, but Glasgow have won a penalty and launch it to touch.

  10. Red card - Etienne Oosthuizenpublished at 70 mins

    Glasgow 18-10 Lyon

The incident involving Hastings was referred to TMO Geoff Warren, who has deemed that the forearm thrust into the Glasgow fly-half's face warrants a red card.

Lyon back on the attack, but Jean-Marc Doussain runs into the formidable frame of Jonny Gray, who bundles him back five metres.

Adam Hastings getting a bit of treatment for a bloody nose, which appears to have come as the result of a forearm in the face from Lyon lock Etienne Oosthuizen.

  13. Penalty - Glasgow 21-10 Lyon (Hastings)published at 67 mins

Some reward at least for Glasgow's efforts, as Adam Hastings chips over his third penalty to extend the lead to 11 points.

    Glasgow 18-10 Lyon

    Colin Gregor
Former Scotland Sevens captain on BBC Radio Scotland

Some action at last, it's been one of those games. Lots of good attack from Glasgow getting towards the Lyon line, reaching ever closer and then the pick-and-goes come to an end and Glasgow think 'we're not going to get through this way'.

  15. Saracens back in frontpublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Glasgow 18-10 Lyon

A couple of penalties from Saracens fly-half Owen Farrelll have put the English champions 19-14 up against Cardiff Blues, in the other game in Pool Three.

Having done all the hard work, the Warriors shift it out to the backs but a loose pass from Stafford McDowall sees the move break down and Lyon snaffle it.

Patient stuff from Glasgow, who carry the ball through 20 phases right up to the Lyon line...

    Glasgow 18-10 Lyon

Glasgow make a hash of the line-out, but they have the ball back again now, and are up to the Lyon 22.

A try here would change the complexion somewhat...

  19. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Glasgow 18-10 Lyon

Is that Tommy Seymour's first touch of the ball today?

The Scotland wing launches a kick over the top and arrives just a fraction late as Lyon full-back Jean-Marcellin Buttin takes it.

The Lyon players are not happy with Seymour, and a mini melee ensues.

Lyon replacement Carl Fearns is the player fingered, and Glasgow have a penalty which they punt to the right corner.

    Glasgow 18-10 Lyon

Glasgow will be looking for some impetus and direction from two of the squad's leaders, Rob Harley and Peter Horne, because they have lost control of this game in the third quarter.

A third changes sees lock Tim Swinson troop off, Chris Fusaro coming on in the back row, with Harley moving into the second trow.
