    Victory in the Principality Stadium last night would not have put England over the Six Nations horizon.

    But three wins from three and home matches against Scotland, whose last Twickenham win was 36 years ago, and Italy, who have never taken victory from London, to come would have made them a speck in the distance.

    Now though, it is possible to plot a route back to their title via a momentous final-day trip to Cardiff.
