Sarah Hunter speaking to Sky Sports: To lose a game like we did last year was tough, but we spoke a lot about how we want to impose ourselves and we certainly did that. France are always difficult and I am really proud of the girls.

We know our technique and tactics, but who wants it more – you can’t coach that. It’s about us turning up and all 24 girls did that in training and from minute one.

There lots of elated England players and some very disappointed France players. It’s another really good performance from England, they had attack all over the pitch and they took their opportunities really well.

Italy could be the toughest fixture, they need to keep their heads but this was the big game. I’m a bit disappointed this wasn’t the game we thought it would be but I think England will keep their heads.

England have avenged last year's defeat in Grenoble, and made it consecutive wins at the start of the 2019 Six Nations.

The Grand Slam is very much on.

France are chasing the bonus point in the final minute. They switch play from right to left and back again inside the English half.

They are just inches short...

England winger Jess Breach is awarded the Man of the Match award by the stadium announcer at Castle Park.

Sarah Hunter and Emily Scarratt have also been hugely impressive this afternoon.

England’s penalty count since half-time has been very high. They count themselves as a very disciplined team, and that’s a negative they will take away from this game.

Hannah Botterman knocks on in the middle of the field and France have a scrum as we enter the final three minutes of the game.

That was a late hit from Beckett, she’ll look at that analysis and see that she needs to get lower in the tackle.

Pauline Bourdon could have scored her second try of the game, but it's being reviewed to see if the ball touched the white line.

Sarah Beckett is adjudged to have made a late tackle but France already have the penalty. France tap and go and Safi N'Diaye is brought down just short.

France go through the phases and England are penalised for a deliberate knock on.

The TMO has been called into action once again as Sarah Beckett hits Pauline Bourdon late in the build-up.

It’s good to take the game around the country, and I am really excited to see what it will be like at Exeter, but I’d love to see bigger crowds in bigger stadiums.

French heads are dropping now, but it's really pleasing to see a try from Cath O’Donnell. She has worked hard for years and years to get into this position. She once came all the way down from Keswick in the Lakes to go to a training camp in Bristol, so I’ve followed her ever since.

France lose their own line-out and Hannah Botterman continues to impress off the bench with a powerful surge into the France half.

The ball is recycled wide and Jess Breach's mazey run gains England valuable yards, before France strip the ball, but England have the five-metre scrum as the visitors are penalised.
