Fabien Galthie's coaching record is outstanding and I see his influence in the way France have played.

There's a calmness about Dupont and Ntamack in those key positions in the backs and they have two unstoppable players in Virimi Vakatawa and Gael Fickou outside them plus the flair of Penaud and Huget on the wings.

The referee brings the first half to an end and France will be very happy with their start to the tournament.

The young French fly-half slots the ball between the white sticks once more and France's lead is looking more than healthy as the clock ticks into the red.

France are on the front foot once more and it's another sensational offload by Virimi Vakatawa to Damian Penaud.

The ball is recycled and moved to the other wing where Tomas Cubelli concedes a penalty for a high tackle on Yoann Huget.

It is surprising no cards have been given out yet to show the players they need to be more disciplined.

This time France win the penalty at the scrum and there is a lot of back slapping and head tapping by the boys in blue.

That relieves the pressure and Argentina miss their chance to reduce the deficit before half-time.

The scrum is reset for a second time and both front-rows are asked for "more stability" before we go again.

You sense this is a crucial period with five minutes till the interval.

It seems as if the move would end in more disappointment for Argentina as France are given the penalty for a knock on.

But the decision is reversed as it appears Gael Fickou initially knocked on in the tackle that led to the spillage by the Pumas.

Can they turn this momentum into points now?

Argentina are not lying down though.

They are quickly into the French half from the restart and they win a penalty as France play the ball on the ground.

The ball is prodded to touch and Argentina will have a line-out five metres out.

The French fly-half nudges the ball over the posts and France extend their lead with another three points.

Argentina knock on and it's France's turn to put-in at the scrum.

They really are in the mood this morning (evening if you're in Japan).

Antoine Dupont moves the ball wide and Romain Ntamack throws a flat pass to Damian Penaud.

The winger is off again and he wins a penalty for a high tackle.

Argentina continue to dominate at scrum-time, however, as they win a free-kick.

That will be the only concern for France, who have already conceded two penalties at the scrum.

France normally turn up at World Cups and they are playing some great running rugby.

The blue shirts have made 10 offloads compared to Argentina's one.

Is there anyway back for the Pumas?

Unbelievable skills shown by the French again!

The forwards had it, the backs made a break and then the cover defence pulled down Penaud but Dupont benefited from a lovely sleight of hand from Penaud and the crowd have gone bananas.

It's running rugby and it's French flair at its best!

What an unbelievable passage of play. There was a lovely combination, Penaud was silky as ever, running inside, outside and inside again, and there was a lovely pick-up which enabled the move to continue. What a magnificent team effort.
