A couple more changes for the Samoans, as Tusi Pisi and Tim Nanai-Williams head off.

Pisi needs another six points to become his country's top scorer at the Rugby World Cup.

He'll have to wait for another day for that achievement.

Russia get a penalty and kick the the corner in a bid to reply via their set piece.

Samoa are starting to run away with it now.

Centre Rey Lee-Lo - who Russia think should have been sent off in the first half - is the man who crosses in the left hand corner after Samoa spread the ball wide.

Tusi Pisi can't add the extra points from right out on the touchline.

Almost a fifth try for Samoa.

Russia centre Vladimir Ostroushko loses the ball in contact on halfway and the ball is kicked ahead by Samoa.

Kirill Golosnitskiy slips and can't claim the ball about two metres out from his own half but then Alapati Leiua knocks-on under pressure with the try-line gaping.

We can see tired bodies out there now.

Samoa's counter attacking has been brilliant all day.

Russia are absolutely dead on their feet trying to stop this powerful outfit, it's all getting too much for them now.

Russia roll on a couple of replacements, with replacement fly-half Ramil Gaisin on.

Prop Kirill Gotovtsev returns from the sin-bin, but it has been a damaging 10 minutes for his side.

Worcester man Ed Fidow gets his second try in the space of three minutes.

It is a well-crafted try as they spread the ball left and Fidow streaks away from the Russia defence.

    Tusi Pisi adds the extras.

The Pacific Islanders have a bonus point for their fourth try and are firmly in control now.

But all of a sudden, Samoa get their third try and get clear daylight between them and the Bears.

A great inside ball from replacement hooker Ray Niuia finds Ed Fidow running a great line off his wing.

He easily breaks through the Russian defence and finishes under the post from about 15 metres out.

Tusi Pisi makes no mistake with the conversion this time.

LMW: This has really left a bad taste in the mouth. Nearly all the bad decisions have gone against the underdogs. Samoa should be down a player, yet minutes after getting their man back they get a try. This will flatten the Russians spirits.

Small Man Peaky: Two clear reds. Matu'u really should be off for a HIA. All this just after World Rugby have said they've been unhappy with the refereeing so far this tournament. Really not good.

Russia coach Lyn Jones might have something to say about those decisions after the game too, Small Man.

  12. Drop-goal: Russia 9-10 Samoapublished at 48 mins

    Yury Kushnarev

Down to 14 men themselves, Russia are not cowed.

Again they plug away at the Samoa defence without making much progress in terms of territory.

But Yury Kushnarev shows intelligence to drop back into the pocket and slot a drop-goal.

They are back within a point.

What a breathtaking bit of play!

They went from side to side, breaking the Russian defense each time, moving the ball so quickly.

That last-gasp challenge has done some damage to Afaesetiti Amosa.

It's the end of his evening and he is stretchered off.

    Afaesetiti Amosa (con missed Pisi)

Samoa have the score after going through the phases, with Russia missing a few tackles and being unable to deal with Tim Nanai-Williams wriggling away from a couple of defenders.

Eventually the big number eight Afaesetiti Amosa gets over and crosses, after a high hit from Kirill Gotovtsev drags him back.

Tusi Pisi is again fairly wretched from the tee, and misses his third kick of the evening.

Here's a picture which rather sums up the first half.

    It was physical and hard-fought.

The Russians don't look too tired given they have the same starting XV from their opener on Friday night.

The Bears start the second half on top before Andrey Ostrikov is off his feet at the break down inside the Samoa 22.

Samoa have avoided two red cards in the first 40 minutes this morning following high hits from Rey Lee-Lo and Motu Matu'u on Russia full-back Vasily Artemyev.
