It's more about having composure and getting into the game from a territorial point of view, let's get down into their territory and put some pressure on. There have been two or three turnovers when Australia have had field position.

    The two packs trade turnovers.

First, Alun Wyn Jones wraps up Allan Alaalatoa in contact and cocoons him off the ground.

    Scrum Wales.

But the green and gold pack get a mighty shove on.

Josh Navidi is Poopered and that is a penalty Australia.

Australia captain Michael Hooper seems to be very lucky to have escaped with just a penalty after a late shoulder charge on Dan Biggar.

After consulting with the TMO, French referee Romain Poite decides no card was needed. Maybe the benefit of a captain's challenge for the relieved Australia skipper?

I think he's lucky because it could go either way. Hooper couldn't have got out of the way, but he could have avoided a full-on shot Biggar ended up taking.

    Wales 10-0 Australia

Michael Hooper is a lucky boy.

The Australia captain landed a big, late shoulder on Dan Biggar's chest after the pass had gone.

It wasn't heinously late though and a few inches below the head. Those two factors have kept the cards in Romain Poite's pocket.

    Just a penalty.

Dan Biggar drops into the pocket of space from where Rob Andrew hit that winning drop goal against Australia in the 1995 tournament.

    But his effort is wide.

We are going back for some foul play in back play though...

The bench, or the finishers, will have a huge impact on this game. It's being played at a frenetic pace at the minute. I think it will go the full 80.

Marika Koroibete charges up from deep as he fields a deep kick from Liam Williams. Justine Tipuric is first in his path and the Wales flanker goes limbo-low and chops down the thundering Aussie wing.

Absolutely no doubt there. Great effort from Hadleigh Parkes, I thought Marika Koroibete was in position to defend this pretty well but great timing from Parkes.

Wales centre Hadleigh Parkes might have a broken bone in his hand suffered against Georgia but that did not stop him from gathering a pinpoint perfect chip kick from Dan Biggar to score Wales' first try.

    Brilliant stuff from Wales.

    Dominance rewarded.

Would Gareth Anscombe have been able to pull off that play? I guess we'll never know.

But Dan Biggar, with a penalty advantage in his back pocket as insurance, punts an inch-perfect cross-field bomb for Hadleigh Parkes to claim high above the stationary Marika Koroibete.

And the fly-half lands the extras from out wide as well.

    What a start from Wales.

Remember when George North gave Israel Folau a fireman's lift out of a Test match playing for the Lions Down Under in 2013?

Wales seem to be looking for a similarly Herculean performance for the giant wing.

Plenty of ball in hand for Mr Becky James in the first few minutes, but Jonathan Davies pass has strayed forward en route.

Fantastic play by Wales, a number of times they got through the line and great cover defence. A lot of desperation in defence for the Wallabies.

Wales half-back Gareth Davies has developed a reputation as the intercept king and his latest intervention almost resulted in a first Wales try.

You have got to say, Wales are absolutely in their groove from the get go - bang, they expose the Wallabies out on the flank. AAC, the old man of the Australia team, his first chance of the game and he got burned, but he got back and made the cover tackle.

Australia no doubt will throw caution to the wind in attack, we haven't had much territory.

Dane Haylett-Petty carves up the middle of the Wales defence, but Aaron Wainwright's cover tackle dislodges the ball from his grasp.

Wales spin wide and counter hard. Josh Adams, all hustle, bustle and handoffs, beats one defender and then another. Pulled to the ground but Australia have infringed.

And Dan Biggar points to the sticks to take on a tricky penalty shot from out wide and 40-odd metres...
