There's a great carnival atmosphere outside Tokyo Stadium as Welsh and Australian fans mingle before their teams do battle.

Among them is Bak-san, the Japanese super-fan who paints teams' shirts on his body, and the Hooper and Cattle families, who will return to Wales next week but are hoping to come back to Japan if Warren Gatland's men reach the semi-finals.

    The great wall of OZ.

The last time these two met they were both at the Rugby World Cup they were already assured of their places in the last eight.

Hosts England had already shot themselves in their own foot with a ceremonial party popper and the final Pool A game was just a sort-out of who would play who in the quarter-finals.

In the end it was decided by a period of extraordinary period of siege defence in which the Wallabies, reduced to 13 men by yellow cards for Dean Mumm and Will Genia, held strong on their own line to pave the way to a 15-6 victory.
