Simple finish for Haylett-Petty in the end but it came about from a lot of ping pong. It was probably Nic White's fault, he tried to do the offload through his legs but it didn't work.

Once Australia regained the ball it was just about composure, they had a five versus four, then it was simple hands and one of the easiest tries they'll score, no doubt.

    Australia 0-0 Uruguay

Basic errors will cost Uruguay today and German Kessler's throw at the line-out is not straight.

It hands the Wallabies the advantage again and his teammates won't be thanking him for that.

Brilliant turnover there by Ardao. Looked like Australia had started to get a lot of momentum but as all good back rows do he waited for the opportunity, pounced on the ball and he wasn't getting moved out of that breakdown.

    Australia 0-0 Uruguay

The Wallabies retain the ball but Uruguay have turned it over through Manuel Ardao.

That's first blood to the South Americans and there's lots of back slapping and head tapping after that.

Jordan Petaia just has to go out there, relax and enjoy the occasion and do what he's doing, what got him in the squad - get his hands on the ball as much as he can and be dangerous, go looking for work.

You never know what could happen, if he has a really good game this morning, you might see him in the latter stages of the tournament.

On the back of a loss you want to a see a response. There will be a lot of players who feel they should have been involved against Wales. This is their chance to put their hands up for the quarter-finals and beyond.
