    Anton Lienert-Brown

Brilliant score from the All Blacks.

Anton Lienert-Brown hits the line on the inside of Ardie Savea and the number eight's delicate offload sends the centre darting into space.

Lienert-Brown shrugs off the tackle of Johan Tromp and scoots over to the left of the posts.

Jordie Barrett shanks a horrible conversion wide to the right - not sure that ever had the height to clear the bar anyway.

    New Zealand 5-3 Namibia

Another turnover from Namibia, but number eight Janco Venter had just rolled into touch there - Aaron Smith takes a quick throw and it's fizzed right for Sevu Reece.

The try-scorer punts over the top and sets off to chase down his own kick, but the bounce falls favourably for JC Greyling who can dot down over his own line.

Namibia win another penalty off a New Zealand attack. Good breakdown work from the minnows. A solid opening 20 minutes from the lowest-ranked side in the World Cup.

    New Zealand 5-3 Namibia

That's a huge drive from New Zealand at the scrum, overpowering the Namibia pack.

The mullet-sporting, mustachioed Jack Goodhue looks to slide a kick beyond the opposition defence and finds touch on the left - directing proceedings like a rugby-playing Goose.

    New Zealand 5-3 Namibia

Superb break from the blue shirts as galloping forward PJ Van Lill goes bursting through a gap to stretch the All Blacks. He finds support but the scrambling New Zealand defence swarms around to quickly gobble that attack up.

Crowd-pleasing stuff from Namibia. Keeping the tournament favourites on their toes.

Namibia are giving it everything in defence, but I am worried that they are going to punch themselves out if they keep going at the breakdown with that ferocity.

    New Zealand 5-3 Namibia

Harlem Globetrotters stuff from the All Blacks to keep the ball moving right through a series of pop-passes and eccentric offloads. Namibia are up quickly though in defence.

Torsten Van Jaarsveld comes over the top of the ruck, but the decision goes in Namibia's favour.

Quick tap and go and then a fizzing grubber down the line from Aaron Smith for Sevu Reece to chase, but it just bobbles into touch.

It was a great kick by Jordie Barrett, he was not going to leave it short. Sevu Reece did that thing that he did against South Africa, taking the ball over his head and then goose-stepping into a burst of accleration.

    Sevu Reece

And that Namibia lead is quickly wiped out...

Jordie Barrett collects the ball at 10 from a New Zealand line-out and dinks a well-weighted crossfield kick into the path of Sevu Reece on the opposite flank.

The prolific All Blacks wing still has work to do, but shrugs off a Namibian tackler with a quick, powerful step to canter across the line. Nice finish.

    Barrett can't find the extras.

I didn't hold much hope for him lining that up. He was out so wide and the wind is swirling around this stadium but Damian Stevens hit that one so sweetly.

Some brilliant reactions among the Namibia coaching staff and for the sprinkling of Namibia fans around the stadium in Tokyo. Lovely stuff.

Scrum-half Damian Stevens will have a pop from five metres inside the left touchline.

And he's nailed it! Cracking kick.

    NAMIBIA LEAD THE ALL BLACKS.

Look for Namibia fans taking photos of the scoreboard if this goes over. It is not every day that they will lead the All Blacks.

    New Zealand 0-0 Namibia

Jordie Barrett's first kick as a fly-half has distance, but doesn't quite find touch and Namibia get the chance to run the ball early on.

Full-back Johan Tromp punctures a hole in the All Blacks line and the minnows earn the first penalty of the match.

A chance to take the lead against New Zealand...

New Zealand v Namibia (05:45 BST)

Namibia's World Cup record is not quite as impressive:

    • Namibia have not won any of their 21 matches at World Cups - the most matches of any side yet to win.
    • Namibia's worst World Cup defeat was in 2003 when Australia ran up a cricket score to win 142-0 at the Adelaide Oval.
    • The last time Namibia beat a tier one nation was when they defeated Ireland 26-15 in Windhoek 28 years ago.
    • Some bookmakers have the African side at odds as big as 250-1 to win.
  20. The stats behind the All Blackspublished at 05:42 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

New Zealand v Namibia (05:45 BST)

    • They have won a record 16 matches in a row the competition, a run that goes back to a quarter-final defeat to France in 2007 and has seen them lift the Webb Ellis trophy in 2011 and 2015.
    • The All Blacks have incredibly never lost a group stage match at a World Cup. Their current record is played 30, won 30.
    • At World Cups they have played 16 matches against non-tier one teams and have not lost any.
    • Against tier two teams and below the All Blacks average a winning margin of 59 points at World Cups, scoring an average of 10 tries per game.
    • The 63 unanswered points that the All Blacks piled up against Canada in Oita was the biggest margin of victory any team has managed at the 2019 World Cup so far.
