Namibia have disrupted the All Blacks, not with wild indiscipline, but instead they have forced New Zealand to commit men to the breakdown.

What a remarkable 40 minutes of rugby. We half came to this game expecting New Zealand to reach a ton of points but Namibia have looked quick, organised and attacked with flair.

There’s a full crowd in the Tokyo stadium too who have enjoyed every minute of this spectacle! And now we await the half-time singalong

    Ben Smith (con Jordie Barrett)

Big drive from the All Blacks again before Aaron Smith flicks it left. The scrum-half delivers quick ball again from the ruck and Ben Smith hits the line to score.

Lovely pass from Aaron Smith there, finding his namesake Ben to almost walk it over from close range.

The All Blacks pressure is building, and Namibia are conceding penalty after penalty in added time here - they don't want to end up a player down...

That's the gong. New Zealand look to muster one last attack as the advantage is played. Namibia hooker Torsten Van Jaarsveld prods loose from an attempted intercept and that'll be an All Blacks scrum 20 metres out.

    And there it is.

New Zealand's spell of pressure tells as Aaron Smith pops it up to Angus Ta'avao for the replacement to barge over from close range.

And Jordie Barrett can't miss from there. The fly-half fires over the extras.

I think that is perfectly refereed. There was the mitigating factor of Lesley Klim was falling into the tackle.

    New Zealand 10-9 Namibia

Brodie Retallick has a breather and New Zealand shuffle their pack after Nepo Laulala's card.

Damian Stevens steals the ball at the breakdown - Namibia's fifth turnover of the first half - and looks to wriggle into the All Blacks half.

But it goes loose, and forward.

Nepo Laulala could be in trouble here. That looked a touch high in the tackle - just a yellow card for the prop. He heads to the sin-bin and New Zealand are down to 14.

If you were picking a player of the match so far you would not go further than the Namibia hooker Torsten van Jaarsveld. He has been everywhere.
