- Ardie Savea supplied two try assists, the joint-most ever by a New Zealand forward at the Rugby World Cup - the last All Blacks forwards to do so were Ali Williams and Jerry Collins, who each made two try assists against Portugal in 2007.
- Sam Whitelock has broken the record for most consecutive Rugby World Cup wins by a player, earning his 17th win in the row in the competition and eclipsing team-mates Sonny Billy Williams (16) and Keven Mealamu (16).
- It was also Whitelock’s 100th victory in Test rugby.

The tier two nations and the blowout from the past just haven't happened in this tournament. Historically we could have seen this game going into the hundreds, but New Zealand were made to work hard. It indicates to me progress is being made.

- New Zealand have now won both of their Tests against Namibia by a combined score of 129-23.
- New Zealand posted the biggest Rugby World Cup score since they themselves defeated Canada 79-15 at the 2011 tournament.
- This was the 12th time that New Zealand have scored 70+ points in a Rugby World Cup game; all other teams combined have only done so 13 times.
- Namibia scored nine first-half points, their most ever against a southern-hemisphere tier one nation and their third most ever in a Rugby World Cup game.

The change of gear New Zealand have when they have their two premier fly-halfs in the team you see a noticeable difference in the way they play.
They are on a completely different level to Jordie Barrett and change the whole dynamic of the game.

The numbers don't really show how well Namibia played. The points mounted up but they showed their ability on the big stage against the big guys.
They showed so much heart and passion and I think that's what they will be pleased most about.

Well, the scoreboard might show a resounding win for New Zealand but Namibia can hold their heads very high after that - a resilient performance from the minnows, who actually took the lead against the two-time defending champions in the opening few minutes of the game. Not many sides get to say that.
It was a well-contested first half, with the All Blacks leading 24-9 after two late tries before the break, before the Test got away from the lowest-ranked team in the competition in the final 40.

That was sublime.
TJ Perenara bursts into opposition territory before being tagged, but the All Blacks keep it alive.
Brad Weber is at his showboating best as he flings an offload behind his back to find Perenara in support again.
The substitute tucks it under one arm, walks a tightrope down the line at top speed and then launches himself into the Tokyo sky to touch down right in the corner. Postage-stamp stuff. Brilliant finish.

He finds his feet to gather again further infield moments later and springs through a gap in the Namibia defence to reach over and dot down for New Zealand's 10th try.
