Wales have racked up a third win in succession from their Rugby World Cup Pool campaign, with Josh Adams scoring three tries in a 29-17 win.

They have just minnows Uruguay to play before the quarter-finals. It is likliest that they will play France in the last eight.

Before then they will have injury updates to make on Jonathan Davies and Dan Biggar, both of whom left the fray early today.

The big news from the rest of the tournament is the fact that organisers have called a media conference for tomorrrow to discuss the impact Typhoon Hagibis could have on the tournaments. There are reports that England v France and Japan v Scotland could be cancelled or moved.

World Rugby have announced a media conference to discuss the impacts of Typhoon Hagibis on the tournament for 04:00 BST on Thursday morning.

Alan Gilpin, Tournament Director World Rugby, and Akira Shimazu, chief executive of Japan Rugby 2019, will be there and "no further comment will be made at this time".

I would prefer England to face Wales in the quarter-finals rather than Australia.

England know what they will get out of Wales but Australia are the best team when viewed as an underdog.

They love upsetting big teams and they will come up with initiatives and strategies to change the course of the game, they will target players or whatever it is to get the better of the opposition.

They are the best in the world at it.

It's bad. It's one of the most powerful typhoons of the year. It's in the western Pacific and a violent typhoon at the minute. Sustained wind speeds of up to 120mph gusting up to 170mph.

It actually strengthened a little bit first thing this morning.

Japan is used to typhoons hitting at this time of year but this one will be quite remarkable because even though it is going to weaken it will still be classed as a very strong typhoon as it makes landfall.

We are expecting that to be around the Tokyo area, probably late evening on Saturday, that will coincide with the England v France match with strong winds and flooding rains.

It's going to be an atrocious day on Saturday and I can't imagine the authorities would want anyone traveling in those conditions.

The typhoon will clear away on Sunday - what happens to the Scotland v Japan game may depend on how much damage and rainfall there was on Saturday.

There are reports coming out of Japan suggesting the organisers might cancel several matches this weekend because of the impending arrival of Typhoon Hagibis. Organisers are reportedly considering relocating matches as well.

Most significantly, Scotland's match against Japan is one of those that could be cancelled, denying Gregor Townsend's side the chance to oust the hosts from a quarter-final spot.

If a match is cancelled, both sides will be awarded two points.

Wales coach Warren Gatland: "It was tough. From 10-0 down I would've taken a bonus-point win. We showed some real character to get back into that.

"They have some incredible individual athletes, we showed some character to fight back, I'm pleased with that performance and result. It was a little bit different to the first two games, hopefully it'll set us up nicely going forward.

"We felt a few of their tight forwards were starting to feel the pace before half-time, the message was to keep working them and take the opportunities that came. From a conditioning point of view we looked strong and there were some good defensive sets as well."

Fiji's race is run at Rugby World Cup - an inexplicable loss to Uruguay, even allowing for the short turnaround, but some of sublime skills.

Wales are top of the pops with just a Uruguay game, when some of the fringe squad players will get an outing.

Gareth Davies certainly wasn't.

His run and offload set up Liam Williams to score his team's fourth try - and secure the bonus point.

Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones: "We probably started slow out the blocks, we knew if Fiji got their tails up we'd be in for a hard day at the office.

"Full respect to Fiji, we saw the best of them today and it's difficult to play against. We did the job but there's plenty to work on.

"We had to show some character in both halves, turning the deficit, but there are things we can tighten up."

It wasn't quite a Pyrrhic victory for Wales but one which came at a huge cost.

They lost Dan Biggar, Josh Adams and Jonathan Davies to injury, with Davies in particular a major worry.

I'm off to hear what Warren Gatland and his players made of that chaotic encounter.

Brutal but skillful at the same time, it was a cracking game of rugby.

Fiji will be kicking themselves they slipped up against Uruguay. Wales came through, they're one of the fittest sides in the competition and it showed today, but you cannot knock Fiji.

Wales will move on in this tournament with a royal battle under their belt which will stand them in good stead.

We thought Fiji might target this game and they did not disappoint at all - shattered bodies on the floor. Wales want to get themselves recovered the best they can.

Dan Biggar, Josh Adams, Jon Davies all off the field - that was a physical, physical game.

Players like Rhys Patchell who came on really fronted up.

It was a rigorous work-out, but that is what you need to grow stronger right?

Warren Gatland will be really proud of his team. It's been a brutal Test match and at one stage it could have gone either way.

The game is breaking up now.

George North, who is hungry for ball after seeing Josh Adams on the opposite wing gobble up most of the possession, comes for a short ball.

Tomos Williams did not spot him and his bullet spin pass was intended for Patchell.
