  1. Biggar in injury troublepublished at 55 mins

    Wales 14-17 Fiji

This is not a good look for Wales.

Dan Biggar and Liam Williams chase the same aerial ball and the two Wales players collide in the air with Biggar laid out flat on his back.

The replay shows Williams hip connecting flush with Biggar's head and then another knock to the noggin as the pair hit the turf.

Biggar is sitting up, but looks groggy.

No warning for Wales for the yellow card, no warning for the line-out drive.

Fiji won back-ball which took out all the line-out drive from the inside and they just rumbled on - it probably was a penalty try.

Penalty try - Wales 14-17 Fijipublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 9 October 2019

Fiji kick to the corner, rev up the rolling maul and Jerome Garces has had enough of Wales infringing.

He marches under the posts after the red shirts pull the rumbling mound of humanity south.

Dan Biggar makes the point to Garces that he showed more leniency when Fiji were parked on their own line. Garces does not look he appreciates the feedback.

Wales head coach Warren Gatland looks a little nervous as he watches on from the stands.

His assistant coach Stephen Jones is starting to look uncomfortable too. He was playing at fly-half when Wales lost to Fiji at the 2007 World Cup.

The fourth yellow card of the match.

Jerome Garces is going to deal a full poker hand at this rate.

James Davies is pinged for hanging onto the tackled man.

You get the feeling Warren Gatland wants to make replacements but Wales can't risk losing this game. There is tension in the head coach.

Semi Radradra comes off his right foot and into a sniff of space.

Half a break, but his offload is intercepted by a clever lurking Josh Navidi as Viliame Mata looked to make more of it.

But Wales knock on soon after.

They have not started the second half well...

Unbelievable break again by Fiji down that left-hand side but what a try-saving tackle by George North. Although that is a forward pass... it's quite easy to see.

It's the Fijian backs that are causing all the damage. You cannot give them any ground whatsoever. It's a world-class backline.

  9. Another forward passpublished at 50 mins

    Wales 14-10 Fiji

    Fiji are incensed.

They believe that Waisea Nayacalevu should have been into the corner but was denied by a tackle just before he received the ball.

But in fact, we are going back for a forward pass in the build-up.

    A let-off for Wales.

That was an incredibly long advantage. I think it was Alun Wyn Jones, a seat-belt tackle where the arm comes over the chest - you're not allowed to do that anymore.

    Wales 14-10 Fiji

Fiji are playing with width and ambition. But the Wales defence is shuttling side to side to shut down the space. There is a lot of discipline there. Wales are sacrificing some line speed to ensure they stay flat and strangle the space.

But Alun Wyn Jones' arm has ridden up high in the tackle. Accidental, but a penalty.

And Ben Volavola punts down into the corner...

Superb work from Fiji's openside Semi Kunatani who sticks over the breakdown like week-old chewing gum.

The Wales clear-out squad is on the scene, but cannot prise him clear.

As far as fitness goes, it's probably very comparable statistically to look at how fit all of these teams are in the competition - it's how you use it, if you get out of position or out of your defensive structure you are putting more miles in, are on the ground a lot and are taking more out of your body.

Fiji are getting pulled apart and Wales are into their structure.
