    England are likely to face Australia in the quarter-finals - that's if Wales win their final group match.

    It was a solid performance from Michael Cheika's Wallabies.

    But they lacked flair and creativity in the final third, with the backs hardly involved in any moves in the Georgia 22.

    Conditions made it difficult, but perhaps there was an element of the Australians keeping their tricks in the back for the knock-out stages.

    However, Wales are expected to regain top spot as they face Uruguay in their final match on Sunday.

    Defeat for Georgia consigns them to fourth place in the pool. They will have to qualify for the next World Cup in France now.

    Toomua's missed conversion brings an end to proceedings in Shizuoka.

    Australia have got the job done, but their performance has not been as convincing as the scoreboard suggests.

    Conditions made it tricky for expansive rugby, but the Wallabies were not particularly convincing in victory.

    Australia finish with a flourish as Rob Simmons breaks the line and then offloads to keep the ball alive.

    Taniela Tupou motors away from a couple more desperate tackles and Will Genia is there in support finish things off.

    Matt Toomua again misses the conversion, skewing his effort to the right of the posts.

    From another line-out five metres out, the Wallabies finally get their rolling maul going.

    The forwards crash over and Jack Dempsey just about touches the ball on the white wash.

    Matt Toomua can't add the extra two points from the conversion attempt.

    It's a brilliant score and finish for Georgia.

    They are still in this, if they can get three points in the next couple of minutes it could set up a finish that we didn't expect.

    But Giorgi Tkhilaishvili is penalised for hands in the resulting scrum, and Australia kick towards the 22.

    Another Georgia line-out does not go to plan but they get the ball back regardless.

    Then Lasha Khmaladze breaks through the defensive line as Matt Toomua is caught out of position.

    Alexander Todua is there in support on the left wing and streaks home.

    Soso Matiashvili can't add the conversion, but the Lelos have a try to show for their efforts.

    Michael Cheika will not be happy at all about this Australia performance, it looks like it's going to be be a case of job done but, even given the conditions, you've got to set your standards higher than this and they've had a load of handling errors.

    They are stuttering into the quarter-finals.

    Australia full-back Dane Haylett-Petty does well to gather a high ball given the conditions, but is then bundled into touch.

    No drama for the Wallabies, as they regain the ball from the Lelos line-out.

    But then there is a miscommunication in the backs as James O'Connor passes straight into touch.

    Australia knock on again as they look to spread the ball wide as they attack the Georgia 22.

    But the Wallabies have been playing with more pace in the second half, and especially since Will Genia has come on at scrum-half.
